"I can't believe this," Winter said as we knocked on John's door. "We're spending Halloween night at a birthday party for an infant! He's not even going to remember it!"

"It's Robert's first birthday," Rory said. "And it's the middle of the afternoon, you can still go out tonight!"

"I know," Winter said. "But I was going to fly out to Boston last night so I could spend Halloween with Rose, but now I gotta wait until tomorrow. I can't even spend Halloween with my girlfriend!"

"Well you'll be with her for... Halloweekend," I said.

"But-"

"Winter, get over yourself," Roger snapped. "This is important to John and Veronica. Are you going to act like this when our twins turn one?"

"Or when our baby turns one about a year a half from now?" Ben asked, motioning towards Rory's stomach.

"I probably will," Winter said. "But, it's fine, let's just go in." We went into John and Veronica's house to celebrate Robert's first birthday. It was a fun, but short party. We socialized, John and Veronica opened presents, and we had some cake before Robert's nap. Roger and I spent a lot of our time focused on the twins, but we made sure to make time for our friends too. Everyone was in a different place in their life right now.

Winter was trying to see Rose as much as possible, since they were in a long distance relationship. Rory, Ben and Joe were planning for their baby, who's sex was still unknown. Anita wanted to marry Brian, but he hadn't asked yet. Gwilym and Ella were very focused on their wedding, and Lucy and Rami were still arguing about their future. Freddie and Jim were probably the most attentive towards baby Robert. They didn't have anything else going on besides being married to each other.

The party pretty much ended after Robert went to sleep. A bunch of us stayed to help clean up, but Rory, Joe and Ben were baby shopping, although it was still early, and Roger and I needed to take Audrey and Everly home. When we pulled into the driveway, I saw a car I didn't recognize in the driveway.

"Who is that?" I asked Roger.

"No idea," he said.

"That's reassuring," I said. "There's a random car in our driveway and we just pulled in with two helpless infants."

"Relax, baby," Roger said. "Let's just go in and see what's going on." I sighed and nodded. We got out of the car and each took one of the babies. We walked inside and heard a voice from the kitchen say,

"Hello Roger. Are you going to introduce me to my granddaughters?"

Roger froze as he saw his father walk into the living room.
