"Charles," Roger said as he saw his father. "How did you get into my house?"

"Is that really how you greet your father?" Charles asked. "Without me to teach you, you've really lost your manners." I could feel my blood boiling at his words.

"Lilly," Roger said to me. "Take the girls upstairs, please." Roger handed me Audrey and I took them both upstairs, reluctantly. I didn't want to leave Roger alone with his father, but I also didn't want him near our babies. I was going crazy just sitting upstairs, so I called Freddie.

"Hello darling," Freddie answered happily.

"Hi," I said nervously. "A-are you busy right now? I need you."

"I'm not busy," he said. "Do you want me to come over?"

"No!" I yelled. "Don't come over. Roger's father is here."

"What?" Freddie said. "Why is he there? What does he want?"

"I don't know," I said. "Roger's downstairs with him. He made me go upstairs with Audrey and Everly and I can't hear anything."

"You left him alone with his father?" Freddie asked.

"I had no choice!" I defended myself. "Roger told me to take the girls upstairs! I have to protect my babies, Freddie!"

"Alright," Freddie said softly. "Wait, why did you call me?"

"I just needed someone to talk to," I said. "I'm kind of freaking out." I started hearing yelling downstairs, followed by a door slam. I heard footsteps on the stairs soon after.

"Freddie, I have to go," I said. "Roger's coming upstairs."

"Ok, dear," he said. "Call me if you need me!" I hung up and Roger came into the room. He looked angry, but unharmed.

"Are you ok?" I said frantically. "Did he hurt you?"

"He didn't touch me," Roger said. "More importantly, he didn't touch you or the girls."

"So what happened?" I asked him.

"He's demanding to see Everly and Audrey! He says as their grandfather he has a right to see them!"

"Well he can't do that," I said. "We're their parents, we can keep them from him!"

"He has grandparents rights," Roger said. "He can take us to court, Lilly! I can't believe this, he could earn the right to see Audrey and Everly."

"He can't see them!" I said. "We have to fight him, he'll hurt our little girls! They're only three months old, Roger, they can't be exposed to that!" I grabbed Roger's arm, searching for comfort and he kissed my forehead softly.

"No he won't," Roger said. "He'll never see them. I promise you, if he tries, we'll stop him. He's not hurting my babies."
