*One and Half Months Later*

Ben, Joe and I were really anxious for my doctor's appointment today. I was twenty weeks pregnant. The doctor would be able to tell us the sex of the baby today, but none of us could focus on that. We were too focused on the fact that Roger's father had come to see Roger and Lilly on Halloween. They hadn't heard from him since, but the whole group was worried he would try to make contact with Everly and Audrey.

"Freddie said Lilly and Roger got a lawyer," Joe said. "Just in case Roger's father comes back."

"They haven't heard from him in almost two months," Ben said. "Why would he come back now?"

"Maybe he's waiting until the girls are older," Joe said. "So he can talk to them."

"Lilly and Roger won't let him see them," I chimed in. "They got the lawyer to make sure of that. Can we just focus on today? Did we decide if we'll find out the sex of the baby?"

"I still say no," Ben said.

"Well I say yes," Joe said.

"Hey I have an idea," I said. "Why don't we take it to the group? We'll have Dr. Camden write down the sex, put it in an envelope, and then we'll ask every else if they think we should find out."

"But I don't want to know," Ben said.

"You'll want to know if everyone else knows," Joe said. "We can make it a game! Everyone can guess what they think it is."

"What would the winners get?" I asked him. Joe shrugged.

"Candy?" He suggested. I wanted to tell him that was ridiculous, but it really wasn't. Our friends love candy, especially Lilly. Ben sighed and agreed to Joe's idea. He didn't want to be the only one who didn't know.

The appointment didn't take long. Dr. Camden said everything looked great and she wrote down the sex for us. We called everyone over to Ben and Joe's house after to take a vote. Everyone was on board with finding out the sex, much to Ben's chagrin.

"Lilly, you're not on my side?" Ben asked. "You didn't want to find out with your twins!"

"Well not at first," she said. "But I'm really glad we found out. We had time to decorate the nursery the way we wanted beforehand, and it narrowed down our name choices."

"That's actually a good point," Ben admitted. "Alright, I guess we'll play the game."

"Yes!" Freddie said happily. "I'll go first, I think it's a boy."

"I agree with Freddie," Lilly said.

"Me too," Ella said.

"I disagree," Jim said. "I say it's a girl."

"So do I," Lucy said. "I always saw you having a girl." After everyone else voted, we decided to open the envelope.

"I can't do it," I said. "You read it Joe." Took took a deep breath and opened the slip of paper. A smile came across his face as he said,

"It's a boy."

"I knew it!" Freddie cheered happily. Ben and I both smiled. I didn't want to admit it, but I really did want a boy. I had so many boy names in my head. I think Ben and Joe felt the same way. We all celebrated together, putting any fears behind us for a while.
