Lilly, Winter, Rory, Lucy, Anita, Veronica and I were going dress shopping today for my wedding. The wedding was on Valentine's Day, which was a little over a month from now. I didn't want to wait this long to find my dress or my bridesmaid dresses, but I didn't have much of a choice. This was the only time everyone was available. Veronica gave birth to her second son Lucas two weeks ago in London and her and Lucy just flew back to California. Rory was six months pregnant and she was starting to have mood swings, so she didn't usually want to go out and Lilly was always focused on the twins. Anita and Winter were pretty much always available, but I couldn't just take them. I wanted everyone there. I was so glad we finally found a time.

"So what colors were you thinking for the bridesmaid dresses?" Anita asked me.

"I'm thinking like a light green," I replied. "I think it'll look alright with everyone's skin tone, and it's my favorite color."

"Sounds lovely," Lucy said happily.

"I'm going to be seven months along at your wedding," Rory said. "So we might want to get mine in a bigger size."

"We can definitely do that," I said. The seven of us entered the bridal shop for our fitting. My dress fitting was first, but I found the color I wanted for the bridesmaid dresses immediately and I couldn't resist looking at them. Our consultant agreed that we could look at them first.

"Oh I like these," Lilly said, pointing out one of the dresses.

"I can't do strapless," Rory said. "My boobs have gotten so big, I'll probably fall out of that thing."

"Yeah and I just gave birth," Veronica added. "I'm not ready for anything that... revealing."

"What about this one?" Anita suggested.

"No," Lilly said, shaking her head. "I don't do long sleeves."

"The wedding is in February!" Rory argued.

"It's also inside," Lilly argued back. "So it'll be warm, and I don't like dresses with long sleeves."

"Fine," Rory said. "We'll keep looking." After several rejections, Lucy finally pulled out a dress everyone loved. It was a cold shoulder top with loose fabric on top so it didn't show off the chest too much, but it was still flattering. It was simple, but elegant.

After everyone found their size, we moved on to my dress. It took forever to find one I liked and I was getting discouraged. Every dress that I tried had something wrong with it. It either had too much lace or not enough lace. It was too poofy, and then not poofy enough. It showed too much skin or too little skin. After about twenty dresses and a whole lot of disappointed, I finally found it. The perfect gown. It was covered in little flowers, the skirt was the right size, and it had lace on top that made me feel like I was covered, but still showed off my figure. I broke down in tears when I saw myself in the mirror with the veil on. It was absolute perfection. I had to get this dress. My friends agreed that it was perfect and we were all happy and relieved. This was going to be a wonderful wedding.
