The 'Oracle' looked like a teen but I knew it definitely wasn't just a blonde and skinny white demigod girl with unsettling tendencies. She sat on her delicate throne her eyes closed and her skin pulled so tight around her bones it looked like she was going to rip. She didn't open her eyes as she unsettlingly pointed at us. We stood there while she pointed for 139 seconds (Yes I counted) before her eyes flew open glowed gold and gold smoke billowed out of her mouth. A raspy female voice filled the room sounding like it came from every angle in the room blaring down on us as if Apollo and The Fates were yelling at us themselves.
"Typhoon Typhoon once again he rises
The only way to avoid his crisis
Is to find the chains of the sea
For the only way, he falls
Is from the aid of the brethren of undersea"
We all shuddered when her eyes and mouth slammed shut and she took a deep breath. When her eyes opened again they were normal. They were simple chocolate brown eyes, her skin had 'slackened' if that's the right word, and color returned to her cheeks. "Did it work?" Her voice was now coming from her not from everywhere in the room, and it was quite cheery for someone who just let the Fates and Apollo take control of her and her voice. "I remember the prophecy itself but did you all get it?" She asked. We were silent in response to the cheery wide-eyed oracle. "Yes Diane, they got it," Chiron answered for us. "Oh good!" She clapped her hands, "Here I'll write it down on one of the Prophecy Scrolls!" She squealed excitedly. She pulled a golden engraved scroll out from behind the thin throne. She began to say the prophecy as she wrote on the scroll with a quill and gold ink. "Man you five are really in for a doozy," She said as she handed a cautious Colson the small scroll. She smiled and waved enthusiastically as we left the room, "Bye guys have fun defeating the great titan who nearly destroyed the world a few millennia ago!" The door shut and we all sighed with relief. "So that was quite vague don't you think?" David commented and Cas nodded in agreement. Kyna rolled her eyes, "You guys are useless, if you'd studied up in Mythology History you'd know that wasn't very vague," she crossed her arms over chest, "Think about it." "You're forgetting that your brain moves twice as fast as everyone who is not an Athena kid," Cas pointed. "Damn Athena kids," Colson shook his head. "Chains of the sea, brethren of the undersea," She gestured wildly while widening her eyes at David and Cas. I jumped and pointed a finger gun at her. She held a hand out telling me to hold my horses with the reply. "Ok just tell us!" Cas threw his hands up after 32 seconds. "The chains made," Kyna let me finish, "by the Cyclops in the first place to tame Typhoon." We made a 'tada' motion. "How. Did. I. Not. Get. That." David buried his face in his hands. Cas smirked and shook his head with disappointment for himself, "I can't believe a Hecate and an Athena kid got that before me!" He cried exasperated with himself. We all laughed out loud Colson included. "Alright Quest Members put on your armor," Chiron trotted up to us with a grin on his face. We all proceeded to put our armor on. I strapped my two shoulder plates on, my two vambraces, my breastplate, backplate, fan-plates, and greeves. I repainted some ruins as I inspected my peers' armor as well. Kyna was very similar to me but she only had one shoulder plate and had an armored circlet/headband that framed the sides of her face with the Athena symbol engraved on the front of it. Cas had a chest plate, shoulder plates, and greaves. Colson had the same as Cas but he had a helmet with sky blue fringe coming off the top of it, marking him as the Quest Leader. David, of course, had the only shoulder plate, but I wasn't worried about the indestructible Cyclops and all his gadgets. We all stood up from preparing ourselves nd all looked at one another. "We are going to need a glamor," I commented as I looked at my battle-ready peers. "Agreed," Chiron nodded, "I hope you're up to that?" He asked giving me a stern look. "I'll be fine," I said as I began to dig into my bag. I pulled out a small vile of sparkly black and red dust. "Is that Dolos Dust?" Kyna asked. I nodded as I tapped a small portion of the dust in my left hand and shoved the vile back in my bag. "Noooooooooo," Cas's eyes widened, "That stuff is messed up Minor." He held his hands out as if to say "hold up" I rolled my eyes, "If you use it properly it is very useful and effective, and I'm pretty sure from your reaction you used it wrong and it didn't work out well," I said as I prepared my spell. Cas was silent after that. "Κρύψτε μας με καθαρή θέα," I whispered and blew the dust over us all. It settled on our skin making our armor disappear making us look like normal teens once again. I shrugged my bag off and pulled my jacket on. "When do we go?" Colson asked Chiron as I pulled my bag strap back over my shoulder. "Right now if you all wish," Chiron trotted away, "But first you must all give your farewells to your peers and family," He explained as he pushed a door open leading us away from this creepy hall. "Our parents are here?" Kyna asked excitedly. "Only your mortal ones," Chiron's clarification made us all sink a little, me especially since I knew my father wasn't showing up. "But there can always be surprises," Chiron winked not bothering to elaborate.
