Chapter 19

"Colson give me your shoe," I ordered once the minions were out of earshot. We were placed on the top of a pillar that towered over a pocket of lava. Colson and I were both chained to the top of the pillar so we couldn't fly. "What?" Colson replied and Kyna rolled her eyes. "The stone is still there," She muttered. Colson slipped his shoe off and handed it to me. "επιταχύνω," I whispered and I chucked the shoe off the pillar. With the accelerating spell, it zoomed quickly through the air and landed on the edge of the lava pool of death. I tugged the stone out of my boot and rubbed it in my hand. Colson was on the other side of the pillar. I shuffled as far as my chain would let me. I made it to the middle of the pillar. "Alright guys come closer," I ordered and they all made their way over to me. David put a hand on my shoulder as did Kyna. Cas joined a reluctant Kyna at my right shoulder. Colson reached his hand out and I followed suit. His hand fell over my clenched fist. We already went over the spell before we did this. We all took a deep breath. "Ok do it Alyx," Colson gave me the go. "τηλεμεταφορά," I cried. I watched as our skin turned into sparkling mist. It trailed to Colson's shoe in a stream of black silver and blue shimmers. With a loud pop and a stomach flipping sensation we were on the edge of the lava pool instead of chained to the pillar. Kyna Cas and David let go immediately but Colson didn't. As we stood up straight he didn't let go of my hand. I coughed to get his attention. Colson paled and then blushed a deep pink. He let go. "Let's go," David started jogging towards a tunnel. "Yes, let's," I took off after David and Kyna. Cas and Colson shrugged at each other before they joined us. The tunnel we chose was stifling with heat, probably led to the main lava source.
