"Yes, questing" Chiron led us to a gazebo with a giant circular hole dug into the center. "Please tell me that's not what I think it is," I groaned. "It's a Portal alright," Kyna replied as she kneeled down and ran her hand over the greek lettering. "Αυτό θα σας φέρει στο σημείο όπου θέλετε να φέρετε," She said, "This will bring you to the place you want to be," She repeated in English. "Do we get to choose where that is?" Cas asked as he scratched his head. "Nope," Kyna and I said together. "Great," Colson growled. I smirked, "I thought you'd like a bit of risk? I mean you did fight me," I elbowed him in the arm. He frowned. "So," David clapped his hands, "How does this work?" "The Quest leader," Chiron gestured to Colson, "Stands in the center and his quest mates stand around them in the portal divot," Chiron explained. "Uh ok," Colson stepped into the shallow hole and stood on the rune in the middle. We all took our places around him and locked hands as Chiron instructed. The rune at Colson's feet began to glow with a bright teal color. "Uuuuh, what's happening?" Cas asked as the floor turned into a whirlwind of blue and gold mist. I watched in surprise and confusion as the mist overtook us all one by one, starting with Colson. The mist covered his entire body then collapsed, and he had disappeared. It happened to David Cas and Kyna, then finally me. The mist flooded my vision so all I could see was bright gold and blue light. It felt as if I was being drained into the floor then spat back out again. I was spat out on a cliff and I puked over the side. "Gross," Colson's face was screwed up in disgust. "That's me," I replied as I excepted a tissue from Kyna. "That was interesting," Cas commented, "Ya good?" I nodded as I stood up and looked over the side of the cliff to see where we were. "San Fransisco," I said when I saw the Golden Gate Bridge and the blue ocean. "Not to far from LA," Kyna agreed. "Did we really need a portal for this?" David asked as he rubbed his upset stomach. "Yes," Kyna clarified, "We needed to find the right place to go, and none of us knew that." Cas shrugged, "True I've never been to my father's palace, so I guess we did." We all darkened at that, our godly parents were always a touchy subject. "Ok!" Colson clapped his hands, "Let's get going." We traipsed down the mountain and towards the bridge. We walked down the bridge, and thankfully our glamours were working so no one saw our battle armor and my rune-covered skin. By the time we were halfway down the bridge everyone but Kyna and Cas legs was hurting and refusing. "How are both of you still going!?" David cried visibly confused. "Athletes!" They both cried dorkily. "Athletes," Colson rolled his eyes. They both simply smiled brightly and high fived. They even Naruto ran down a little farther down the bridge for effect. I watched from a distance as Cas lifted Kyna onto his back as if he was trying to get her a better vantage point. "Guys!" She yelled and waved for us. We mustered some stamina to run over. She pointed out to an outcropping of land a good distance away. She jumped down, "Take a closer look," She handed me the pair of binoculars she pulled out of her satchel. I held them up to my eyes to see a symbol in the water near the outcropping. "It's a trident!" I observed. "Let me see," Colson grabbed the binoculars and looked out to the sea, "You're right!" "Of course I am," I replied. He scrunched his nose at me and I stuck my tongue out at him. "So we need to head there then," David said as he looked through the binoculars. "Yep!" Colson confirmed. "More walking?" I asked. "I bet we could catch a bus once we get off the bridge," Kyna suggested. "Yes!" Colson said and we continued down the bridge. It wasn't until the very end of the bridge walk did the Olympian and Squid show that they were somewhat tired. We sat down at a bus stop a couple of blocks later. The bus clattered up shortly, and we all piled in. It was like a school bus with two columns of seats on each side compiled of two seats a row. We made our way to the back of the bus where there were five seats along the back wall. David took the left end seat and I sat next to him. Colson sat next to me much to my dismay, and Kyna took the right end seat. Cas sat next to her. I watched as Kyna's breathing got shallower and she began to grow paler. "Try to sleep," Cas murmured and she nodded as her hands moved to her upset stomach. She tried to take a few deep breaths and quickly fell asleep. In a couple of minutes, she fell into Cas's lap. His eyes widened and his hands flew into the air to avoid touching her. We all chuckled. "You're fine," I smirked, "You don't have to be scared to touch her." He slowly set one hand on her shoulder and one on his seat. "She's going to be so mad," Cas said quietly. "You'll be fine," David remarked and settled back into his seat. Soon I drifted off too. I woke up, but not all the way. I was too out of it to open my eyes or move, I could just hear. "Jealous of our Cyclops friend?" Cas asked. "No!" I could hear the utter lie in Colson's voice. "You can have her by all means," I heard David say. "Oh, do you not want her?" I heard Cas ask. "Well, I'm ace, so no," David replied. I decided to wake up fully then. My eyes flew open and I sat up straight. Colson's eyes were wide and his cheeks were flushed red. "What?" I asked, playing dumb. "Nothing," he said quietly. Kyna was still asleep when it was time to get off. "I'm not waking her up!" Cas said defensively, "She does not like being woken up!" "I'll do it," David volunteered and rolled up his sleeves. He shook Kyna softly, "Come on Kyna, time to wake up." Kyna jumped up and ended up headbutting Cas in the nose. "Ow!" He cried as Kyna stood up. "Wait," The realization of where she was just sleeping sunk in and her tiny ears turned bright red. She quickly dragged everyone off the bus. "Come on, their should be a Sanctuary here somewhere." She led us to a small inn, called The Aphrodite. We checked in and paid with golden Greek coins. Kyna and I crashed into a room for us to share, while the boys got their's to share too. Sleep was all that was on mind right now, not quests, and definitely not that Colson lied about not being jealous.
