We snuck into the Yellowstone park quickly and easily. We didn't really have a car or enough money to spare so we just snuck in. Kyna was trying desperately to get Cas to react to her. Nudging him playfully. Smiling. Nothing seemed to work. He had been almost silent since Kyna had taken a slice for him. We stopped at a rest area and sat down on a bench to begin assessing the situation. "So we're just chaining him up?" I said with a wrestling motion I made with my hands. "It's harder than that," Kyna corrected, "Typhoon is one of the strongest Titans ever, we're going to have to pacify him and his followers in the caldera while we are chaining him back down." Cas scoffed, "How are we going to pacify the titan we're chaining down?" Kyna winced at the bite in his voice. "If we don't keep him calm the caldera will erupt and we would die, and even if we didn't die from his angry followers the lava from the eruption would KILL US!" Kyna snapped and crossed her arms over her chest. She repeated a lot but I wasn't going to point that out. We were all going to die if we didn't keep the followers and the titan calm. Kyna stood up abruptly, "I'm going to scout," She growled and loped into the woods silently and gracefully. Cas looked after longer than the rest of us but we didn't call him back to Earth. "Soooooo while Kyna's doing that," Colson said, and the two boys perked up suddenly, but I was in the dark. "What?" I asked as David and Cas stood up and sat on another bench. "Colson, what the hell?" I asked. "You know what nevermind," He stood up and sat next to the boys. I shook my head and removed my book from my bag. I felt my cheeks growing warmer though I had no clue why. The boys were whispering Cas even slapped Colson in the shoulder. "Don't make me pull out the nickname Sparky!" I whipped around at David's threat. Colson was blushing furiously. I narrowed my eyes at them and stomped over. I sat down in between Colson and Cas as I opened up my book and kept reading. They were obviously uncomfortable. Good. "So Cas," Colson leaned and talked to Cas from behind me. "How come you didn't want to scout with Kyna," Colson's voice was teasing. Cas looked away, "She wouldn't want to scout with someone, you know how she is," He mumbled. "Miss Independent," I said and he nodded. "Oh please," David scoffed, "She would have let you come, just not anyone else, well except maybe Alyx." I smirked, "She would have, you're the one ignoring her anyway," I said. "I don't need protection," He pouted. "If Kyna thinks you do, then you do, her brain had already calculated what was going to happen if she didn't save you," I challenged. Cas faltered a bit. Colson and David nodded in agreement with me. He looked at his calloused hands and fidgeted with them for a little bit. "Fiiiiiine," He groaned, "I'll ease off of her." I laughed out loud, "I know you will, Kyna's mad now, it's her you should be wanting to ease off." I tapped my phone, "Bella warned me about Kyna getting angry," I smirked a fanged smirk as Cas paled. "Hey but what do I know, Kyna and I haven't been friends for long," I shrugged as I leaned back into the bench. "No, you're right," Cas said blandly. Before anyone could add another word one of Kyna's knives came hurling out of the forest. It lodged itself into the wood of the bench between Cas and me. "What was that for!?" I cried as Kyna emerged from the forest and sat on the grass in front of us. "Fun," She shrugged as Colson handed her the silver dagger. "So?" Cas asked, there was still a hint of bite in his voice and I shot him an angry side-eye. He shut up thank the gods. Kyna didn't acknowledge him. "I found an entrance, but we'll need to get captured to get in." Colson's eyes widened, "Captured!?" Kyna nodded, "I have a plan, but it will only work if Alyx can teleport." I smirked and patted my bag, "I can teleport," I confirmed. "Perfect," Kyna clapped her hands, "Se here's what we're going to do!"
