I woke Kyna up around 8:30 in the morning. It was time to get moving. We elected not to wear our armor today so we could save magic energy. I left the runes that were on my hidden skin alone but erased the showing ones. We met the boys in the inn's cafeteria on the main floor and it seems they did the same we did. Of course, we still had our weapons, hidden though. My chakram was now a bracelet on my arm, Kyna's daggers appeared as tattoos on her wrists, Colson's sword was a dog tag around his neck, Cas's sword was a ring on his finger, and David's tons of weapons were all shoved into a backpack at his side. "Ah, they're alive!" David commented as we sat down. "Yes, alive," Kyna replied, she did look dead inside though. "So we're going to Poseidon's palace?" David asked. "Yes, chains of the sea pertains to the mystical chains made by cyclopses to hold Typhoon down originally," Kyna explained with a mouthful of food. "Ok so if he's stirring aren't the chains doing nothing?" Cas pointed out. "Not exactly," she replied. "Yeah," I continued, "Those chains are indestructible, something or someone must be loosening it." "Yes," Kyna agreed. "Ugh, we have to deal with a someone or something now?!" Colson whined as he chomped down on a piece of bacon. "Seems so," David agreed. "Does anyone have even an inkling on where Mr. Poseidon lives?" I asked, not ready to meet this rapist of a god. "Well, he most likely lives near a popular beach where he can observe and take advantage of mortals," Kyna suggested. David and Cas winced slightly as we talked about Poseidon, he was their father after all. "So to the most popular San Fransisco beach!" Colson announced as he stood up, "Which one is that exactly?" He asked but did not look down. "Baker Beach," Kyna said and held out her phone. "To Baker Beach!" Colson and Cas said together and we followed the Sparky and the Squid out of the hotel. My Irish accent shone through when I yelled, "Oi!" I covered it up to continue, "Sparky! Squid! That's the wrong way!" They glared at the nicknames. Kyna rolled her eyes as they jogged back over. She pulled the directions up on her phone and we began the walk. Our glamors were holding which was good, but if we ran into a monster they would wear off when we fought. We turned a corner and the beach came in sight. Crowds of people were sitting in the sand, taking pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge, and swimming in the water. "Definitely a popular beach," David commented. "Disgusting," Kyna repulsed at the sight of so many people. "Agreed, sister," I replied as Cas rolled his eyes. "Ok, finding a god's palace without bringing attention to ourselves, this should be fun," Colson said. "So fun Sparky," I agreed. We split up, I was with Sparky, damnit. "I'll text Alyx if we find anything, " Kyna informed before Cas, David and she went off in the other direction. We inspected every inch of the beach and saw some things we weren't really prepared for, but it was California there are a lot of things you see you aren't prepared for. We moved to the very edge of the beach right before we came into contact with the water. I kneeled down, and Colson followed suit. "Do you have some kind of finding spell in that bag?" He asked tapping my satchel. "Finding spells are very inaccurate if you don't have a talisman of Apollo, and I don't," I replied, "If we used it, we'd probably just get a mouth full of seawater." My phone buzzed in my pocket. When I looked at it I found one text from Kyna, "Come to the dock." We jogged down the beach and found Kyna dangling her bare feet over the edge of the dock, and Cas and David floating in the water shirtless. "Hey!" Colson yelled to get their attention, and they waved us over. We jogged to the edge of the dock and Cas pointed to the ocean, "We found it, we just need a quest leader to open it." "I'll get a glamor up," I said as Colson took off his shirt and jumped in. The glamor was finished when it happened. The water split into a tunnel leading to the ocean floor. When I peered down it I saw Colson at the bottom waving us down into the fortress. "Let's go," Kyna jumped down, still barefoot, and landed next to Colson. I followed with Cas and David. When all of us landed the water opened up again creating a new tunnel, and closing the original one. I felt my glamor disappear on the surface. We all followed Colson down the tunnel until we came upon an entrance to an underwater fortress. "Welcome to my palace," A deep male voice boomed as the giant stone doors opened, welcoming us in. A man, Poseidon, stepped in front of the palace with his arms wide. He was muscular tall and was wearing armor very similar to Cas's. His blonde hair was pulled into a man bun and his feet were bare. "Welcome questers," He turned and beckoned us in. "Ah sons," He clapped David's and Cas's shoulders, "I am happy to see you." Poseidon nodded respectfully to Colson, "Welcome, Son of Zeus." Colson bowed slightly to show his respect of the god. Poseidon's eyes brushed over Kyna and me with disgust. We both looked at each other, offense, and confusion filling our eyes. "I assume you are here for something that will aid you on your quest," He said as if he did not just disrespect Kyna and me openly. Kyna stepped forward, "Yes we need your cyclopes-" "Silence girl!" Poseidon yelled cutting Kyna off. Kyna's jaw dropped, eyes widened, and stepped back as if she'd been struck. "I will listen to the men of this group, not the help," Poseidon growled. David looked at his father horrified with his one brown eye, and Cas made desperate eye contact with Kyna who's fists were clenched angrily. "I see you need my chains, we shall find them in the forge." He moved on with a dismissive hand gesture. Kyna looked at the floor as we kept walking and eventually stopped in front of a large Neptune Steel door. The art on the door depicted a forge filled with Cyclops working on weapons and metal. "Your girls," Poseidon spat out the word girls as if it was poison, "Cannot enter the forge." "Why not?" I snapped and stood up straighter. Poseidon glared at me, "This is no place for a worthless female such as yourself, you are staying right here." He turned thinking that was the end of it. "No father, they are a crucial part of our team." Cas stopped his father. "Fine!" He turned around quickly, "If you believe they aren't just worthless whelps, let them prove himself." He sneered down on us, "If you draw some of my divine blood, you can enter." My eyes widened and Kyna's head flew up. "I'm sorry Great Poseidon," Colson intervened, "Are you challenging them to a duel?"
