Chapter 13 (MUST READ): Remedy

~Jaden's POV~

I stood outside the Slifer Red Dorm getting my morning stretch on. I had my Duel Disk activated and ready for a sweet duel.

Principal Sheppard just announced the GX tournament and I can't wait to duel all day. I saw Syrus hiding in a trash can, he knew people would want to duel him for a free win but I knew Syrus could kick their butt.

I saw (Y/N) coming down the steps outside. It was nice to see her back at school. She'd been going with Aster to her part-time job and going undercover in The Society Of Light.

I really did miss her.

Her Slifer uniform shined with her beautiful eyes and her forever flowing hair. When did I become so poetic?

(Y/N) looked like she had some sort of jacket laying on her shoulder. I gave her a smile but to my surprise she didn't return one back. As I was asking her, "Is...everything ok?" She tossed me the jacket she carried. I took a closer look and saw that it was Chazz's. (Y/N) closed her eyes and her head facing towards the ground, "Jaden. There's something I need to tell you." (Y/N) sounded like this was serious.

I walked up to her, "What is it?" I ask her and she hugged me tightly, her sweet and warm breaths were warming up my black shirt. Soon I heared her start to sob. I quickly hug her and she told me what was wrong, "I just got a call from my dad. He said the police found my mom..." She continued to sob and I was happy for her. Looks like these were tears of joy. I brushed the back of her hair and put up a smile. "They found her dead in a river." She said.

My pace of brushing her hair slowed, my smile faded and I pulled (Y/N) to see her eyes flood with tears. She didn't dare to look at me. Her tear drops fell to the floor and soon her legs started to become weak, making us both slowly sit on the ground. (Y/N) tried to calm herself down while I cradled her in my arms.

This must feel awful. My parents haven't been around much when I was young but at least they were alive. I got to see them. I forgot how much pain and sadness (Y/N) had to deal with. Her brave, sweet and caring personality really hides her hopeless past.

"I feel stupid right now..." She told me wipping her tears away. I placed my hand on her face helping her wipe the tears go away. "You shouldn't be. I would cry if I lost someone important in my life..." I told her. She sniffed, "Really? Like who?" I hugged her tighter, "Like you."

She eased up and I could see her face turn pink from what I said. She looked up above to lock eyes with mine. (Y/N)'s eyes were so beautiful.

~(Y/N)'s POV~

I stared dead into Jaden's brownish eyes. His gaze at me was so filled with curiosity of how to help my sorrow go away.

So I helped him find the one solution to cure it. I quickly pressed my lips onto his. I knew I caught him by surprise by how intensely he wasn't pushing. It made me think this was a mistake. Soon I felt his hand on my cheek, and pressed his lips intensely against mine.

Every second I wanted to treasure. Everyone in my life has left me in isolation. My brother, my dad, Zane, Chazz, Alexis and now my own mother leaving me forever. The only person that stayed by my side was Jaden. From the day we met till now made me realize I was loved, I was wanted, I wasn't someone cursed to die alone.

I had someone that would never leave me now.

The saliva between our kiss dripped to the ground and we both just stared at each other realizing our true feelings towards each other.

"I'm sorry. I-I just...needed to do that." I told him sadly. Jaden gave me a small smile, "Don't be sorry. I wanted to do the same thing for a long time." Jaden then helps me up to my feet, holding both of my hands.

I gave him a smile and let go of his one hand but kept holding onto the other. I grabbed Chazz's jacket from him.

We both quickly look at each other until I look away from him and kick some dirt. "I'm glad you stayed by me like no one else did." I tell him and he chuckles, nuzzling his nose on my neck, "Always." He gave me a quick kiss and we started walking together towards Duel Academy with our hands intertwine.

Off we went to save our friends and the world together...

Only this time not as friends...

But as lovers.
