Chapter 14: The Fallen Legend

~Jaden's POV~

Long story short we saved Chazz by reminding him of who he was.

Now me, Syrus, Hassleberry and my girlfriend (Y/N), were all sitting in the Slifer Red lunch room enjoying some classic Slifer grub. Hassleberry was busy looking through his deck, Syrus looked like he was thinking hard about something, and (Y/N) fell asleep on my lap while I ate.

We have spent so much time together me and her, we started as friends, roommates and now a happy couple. I felt something rub against my stomach. I looked down to see (Y/N)'s face nuzzle against my stomach. She was so cute when she's clingy and asleep...

The lunch room felt really wholesome. The sunlight shining against the walls all around us, the cool breeze that entered occasionally. It was...peaceful.

We all heared the door creek open and Chazz entered with his sleeves in his jacket pockets. He sat down in another table far away from us. "Can I get some food over here!?" Chazz yelled.

~(Y/N)'s POV~

I woke up to the sound of Chazz yelling for food. I yawned, whipped my eyes and looked up to see Jaden's chocolate brown eyes stare at mine. He gave me a smile, "Morning sleepy head." He told me. I sat up and put my head on Jaden's shoulder, I was still a little tired.

Hassleberry looked at us with a little hate in his eyes. "Man. How come out of all people Jaden gets a girlfriend? I'm a little jealous." Hassleberry muttered.

Chazz continued to yell for food, "Hello? Did I stutter!? Where's my-" Chazz paused and took a look at me and Jaden. My head on Jaden's shoulder while Jaden smiled and continued to eat, enjoying my company. He put two and two together and gasped, "No way! Your dating that slacker!? Are you out of your mind?"

I gave Jaden a kiss on the cheek, making Chazz even madder, then proceeded to get up and get Chazz his food.

I got a tray of food from the counter and walked over to Chazz. I put his food on the table. "About time..." He said rudely. I swiped one of his shrimps from his plate, "Welcome back Chazz." I told him and popped the shrimp into my mouth.

As I was about to sit down with Jaden, Syrus caught my eye. He looked so sad. I came to the conclusion that something was wrong. "Hey Syrus. Are you alright?" I asked him concerned. Everyone in the room looked up and made Syrus the center of attention. Syrus huffed and let a sigh, "It's nothing..."

I frowned at Syrus's response. I knew he was hiding something. But what?
As I thought about it more I realized what it was. What is the one thing Syrus always has inner conflicts about?

"It's Zane isn't it?" I asked sure of my question. Syrus nodded, "Yeah. And worse...he's here." When Syrus told us that, all of us had different reactions.

"Sam Hill..." Hassleberry said in shock.

"No way. Zane!?" Chazz asked in disbelief.

"Zane...he's at Duel Academy?" I asked making sure I wasn't hearing things.

"Sweet! I get to duel him!" Jaden shouted in excietment.
