Chapter 2: Intern For Destiny

~Jaden's POV~

Me and (Y/N)'s eyes went wide when we stood in front of THE Aster Phoenix. He was my favorite pro-duelist and i'm sure he was (Y/N)'s also.

"Oh my gosh! Aster Phoenix!? I'm such a huge fan. Can I hug you? Or is that too weird?" (Y/N) asked Aster and I didn't wanna see (Y/N) hugging anyone else besides me, "I don't think that's a good idea. I mean, being hugged by a person you just met is pretty weird..." I said and Aster chuckled, "I don't think it's weird at all. I adore all my fans." (Y/N) then proceeds to hug Aster and as they were hugging, Aster gave me a smirk like he was saying, "I got your girl."

I wanted to punch that smirk off his face. I couldn't. (Y/N) would hate me for that.

~(Y/N)'s POV~

I stopped hugging Aster and I turned around to see Jaden's face all red. "Are you ok, Jaden?" I asked. He looked at me and his face was back to normal, he rubbed his head and smiled, "Y-yeah. I'm fine. I'm just starving is all." I heared my stomach grumble as well. I was in such a rush in the morning that I didn't eat breakfast. "I'm hungry too." I said and Jaden wrapped his arm around me, "Let's go to the cafeteria. I heared they have fishsticks now."

Aster had a smirk on his face, he looked down with his eyes closed, "Fishsticks from the cafeteria? No. Someone who works for my manager deserves a fine meal. Come on (Y/N), my personal chef can cook us up a meal. What do you say?" Aster asked. "Eating with my favorite pro-duelist? Of course I do!" I say cheerfully and I add, "C'mon Jaden."

I start to walk with Aster towards his mini cruise and Jaden followed along behind us. As we made it to the entrance, Aster put out his hand towards Jaden as to stop him, "Ah bup...bup... Only people working for me and my boss can enter." Jaden looked at me and I whispered to him, "Sorry." Jaden nodded and said, "That's alright. Save some of that rich grub for me." Jaden then walked back to the academy.

I really wanted Jaden to be with me through this. Both of us sitting with Aster Phoenix would be amazing but Aster didn't allow it. I would defend Jaden but I didn't want to talk back to Aster.

If I did, I knew Aster would tell his boss and I would be immediately be fired before I even started, disappointing my dad in the process.

Aster held the door for me and I went inside. I saw a table already set with the table cloth being white, drinks already served and utensils laid down as well as the plates.

I sat down and Aster politely pushed my chair in. He then sat across from me and cuffed his hands together, he rested his chin on his cuffed hands and looked at me like he was observing me.

~Aster's POV~

I don't get what my boss sees in this girl. He told me to first duel Jaden then befriend this random girl.

I felt uncomfortable when I hugged her earlier. I hope she didn't leave wrinkles on my suit...

"Why are you staring at me so intensely?" (Y/N) asked me interrupting my personal thoughts. "Oh. Sorry. Just thinking..." I say, "Of what?" She asked.

Will she ever stop pestering me?

"It's nothing. Anyway, let's get on with the meal." I snapped my fingers and my butler served the food.
