Chapter 7: Aster's Invitation

~Midnight, In The Slifer Dorm~

~(Y/N)'s POV~

After our visit with Zane, me and Jaden decided to continue our investigation on Atticus and Yusuke for tomorrow.

I laid down on my bed with Jaden already asleep, arms wrapped around my waist and his calm breaths brushing my neck.

Although I felt so calm and relaxed with Jaden wrapped around me, I couldn't sleep...

The things Zane told us about his past relationship with Atticus and Yusuke was...despressing.

~Flashback, In The Hospital Wing~

~(Y/N)'s POV~

"When me, Atticus and Yusuke were freshman at Duel Academy... All of us were the best of friends. Each of us had a role in our little gang..." Zane spoke as much as he could before he needed to stop and recollect himself from the awful and sad memory he was telling us.

Me and Jaden sat on Zane's bed while Zane sat in his wheelchair and continued the story.

"I was the protector, Atticus was the lover and Yusuke was the peacekeeper. So in a way, without Yusuke our friendship between us three wouldn't last. Me and Atticus would sometimes get into bad arguments, until Yusuke stopped it and calmed us both down. He reminded us everyday how friendship can save people, even from their darkest selves..." Zane stopped again.

Jaden asked the million dollar question, "So what happened to Yusuke?"

"I'm not too sure about that. One day Atticus and Yusuke disappeared into the abandoned dorm and never came out again...leaving me all alone.." Zane said with a depressed tone, "If you want to know more...ask Atticus."

I just stared in the darkness of our room. I can't sleep...

I should clear my mind, wash my face, maybe wake up Jaden so I can tell him what i'm thinking.

I removed Jaden's arm around my waist and got up to go to the bathroom.

I left the room to find the Slifer Bathroom.

~Jaden's POV~

My eyes opened up slightly seeing that (Y/N) wasn't next to me. My first reaction was to get out of bed and rush out of the room to look for her.

As my hand touched the doorknob, a familiar presence appeared behind me.

"There's no need to worry Jaden. (Y/N)'s fine." The presence said.

I turned to see my eternal partner...and friend, Yubel.

"Are you sure (Y/N)'s fine?" I asked Yubel a little skeptical.

Yubel nodded, "She went to use the restroom. She will return soon."

I let out the anxiety I had built up in me and sat on the bed to relax.
