Chapter 3: Hanging With The Pro

~Aster's POV~

Sartorius is making me attend classes at Duel Academy for some odd reason. I don't stay in any one of their rinky dink dorms. I have money, so I stay in a private cruise ship which floats at the school's dock.

I wake up to the sound of people outside of my door screaming my name, "We love you Aster!" One girl said, "Your my hero, Aster!" A male said, "Duel me in my bed, Aster!" Another girl said who clearly is obsessed with me. They are all obsessed with me.

"Fans..." I mutter and try to block out their cheers with my pillow. A pro needs his sleep too.

Can't I ever have someone around me that's not crazy for me?

~(Y/N)'s POV~

It felt great to be in bed again. Having a part-time job is tiresome. Especially when your working for a pro duelist's manager.

It also felt great to be back. The quietness at the Slifer Dorm, the fact that it's just now me and Jaden since Syrus ranked up to Ra Yellow, and Jaden's cute snoring and mumbling in his sleep, "No Crowler...I don't wanna take the test...*snoring*" Jaden mumbled and I couldn't help but chuckle a little.

As I was about to fall asleep again, I heared banging on our door and a voice that was starting to irritate me, "Wake up losers! You guys are going to be late for class!" That voice was Chazz. I almost forgot Chazz was in the Slifer Dorm now.

I groaned, "Five more minutes..." Chazz shouted louder, "You better get up! It's the first day of classes and The Chazz is not sitting with a bunch of Slifer wannabes! So. Get! Up!" I finally get up from my bed and start to do my hair and get dressed, all while trying not to pass out right then and there from tiredness. Chazz bangs some more on the door and I shout, "Alright I get the idea. Give me a sec." I was a little angry, one from being woken up and two from being at my part-time job.

I was finally done. But Jaden wasnt. He was still sleeping. I try to shake him awake, sit on him, tried to lift him up. Nothing worked. "Man. Syrus was right. He sleeps through anything." I said and I gave Jaden a kiss on the cheek.

I left him alone, and off I went with Chazz to class.

While making my way to school, I saw many people standing outside near Aster's cruise. They must be fans. I heared Aster shouting at them. It must annoy him a lot. I was his fan...I guess he hates his fans. And me...

~Aster's POV~

Somehow I managed to escape from the croud of fans in front of my cruise. I finally made it to class. I quietly took my seat sitting next to some blond Obelisk chick and the teacher showed up.

"Good morning class. For those who do not know me, I am Dr. Crowler. I have a PhD in dueling. Now since I have introduced myself already, let's go around the class and introduce each other." The teacher said then everyone got up and started shaking hands with the person next to them.

The blond girl next to me put our her hand and introduced herself, "Hey. Nice to meet you. I'm Alexis Rhodes." I shook her hand and replied with, "Aster Phoenix." And of course she was a fan. She wanted my autograph which I gave for her to leave me alone.

I started to look around and one particular person caught my eye, (Y/N). She was starring at me as well. I was expecting her to either run up here and give me another hug or point at me and yell, "Look. It's Aster Phoenix!"

But no...

She just frowned and turned her head away from me.

~40 Minutes Later~

~(Y/N)'s POV~

The bell rang and it was time to go my part-time job.

When me and Aster looked at each other, I turned my head. When I was little, I used to watch kid Aster duel in the little leagues.

He was my idol...

He loved and adored each and every one of his fans. Now it's like we are the bane of his existence...

As I was making my way towards Aster's cruise ship to go to my part time job, someone shouted "Watch out, (Y/N)!" I look to see a Basketball coming my way and luckily enough I caught it.

I saw a guy coming my way and as he got closer, it was Atticus. He was wearing a tank top and shorts, revealing his musles and his strong chest. To top it off he was sweating which made his skin glisten in the sunlight. "Nice catch (Y/N)." He says and he takes the ball from me. Atticus notices my blushing and smiles, "I see someone likes what they see. Your always welcome to be my cheerleader." He tells me while flexing his muscular arms at me which made me blush even more. "N-no thanks. I gotta go see Aster." I somehow built up the courage to deny his offer and ran off.

My god he's hot...but I love Jaden more.

I entered Aster's cruise only to find that he wasn't here yet. It was really quiet, the only thing I could heared were the waves crashing around the boat. I started to walk around seeing many rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, dinning room, and then there was a bedroom...

In the bedroom was a bed with a blue blanket folded, a desk in the very corner with lots of papers on it. I sat on the bed and saw a photograph slipped under the pillow. I grabbed it and I saw a young kid with his dad in the picture. They looked so happy.

A hand out of nowhere snatched the photo from my hands. "What are you doing in my room?" Aster asked, "I'm here to go help Sartorius." I said and Aster tucked the photo in his suit pocket. "Yeah well, Sartorius wants you to be my helper now. Go figure." He said and I started to swing my feet back and forth, "Oh..." I say sadly then add, "I guess your going to say that you don't need my help then." Aster replied, "That was the plan." Aster said and I sighed.

I got up and was about to leave, but something inside me made me turn around, "I understand that having too much attention can be a drag, but you should feel lucky to have so many people look up to you." Aster saw the water filling up in my eyes, "Your talking about yourself aren't you?" I turned and faced him, "I used to watch you when I was little. You cared about your fans, Aster. What happened to you?" Aster placed his hand on his suit pocket, squeezing the photo inside.

It made me realize, "That was you wasn't it? The kid in the photo." I said and I saw Aster's face fill with sorrow.

This was the first time I saw Aster sad and vulnerable. Aster walked up to me and held the door open, "You wanna know how you can help me (Y/N)?" He asked me, "How?" I replied.

"Never come back here again." He told me and I stormed out.

I didn't look back...
