Side note: Don't you hate it when people call Anthony 'Antony' ?

Okay cue story....

"I told myself I wouldn't fall for you."

I sucked in a breath and tried to read his stormy blue eyes. I had to think about it for a moment, what did that mean? He said didn't want to do this and then said he'd fallen for me... oh god I was so confused. So he'd fallen for me but regrets it now? Right. That made sense. No, no actually... It didn't make sense at all.

But was it 'fallen' like: love? Or just 'fallen' like: slightly more than a friends?

I liked him... but I didn't know if it was love... i didn't feel like I knew him well enough to know if I loved him. I wasn't even sure I knew what love was supposed to feel like.

My thoughts were cut short all of a sudden when the crunch of leaves from behind the trees pulled us both apart instantly. The prince drew his sword and held it up to the source of the noise and for a moment, nothing appeared.

My heart was in my throat, I had a bad feeling about this, something wasn't right.

I relaxed slightly when Stephen appeared, Ant seemed furious but the blood in both our veins went cold at his frightened words.

"I'm so sorry Ant."

Suddenly an arrow shot out of no where, through the trees and before I could blink Ant was on his knees, clutching his shoulder in pain as he looked down at his blood stained hand with a groan. I fell down to Ants side as he snapped the long wooden arrow from its head which was still buried deep in his sword arm.

The dark haired man growled against the pain as he chucked it to the side while falling further onto his hands and knees.

There were footfalls coming towards us and I only looked up in time to see heavy leather riding boots swing up and kick the Prince directly in the head, knocking him out completely.

My heart fell through the stomach as I looked at the taller man's lifeless body and then up at a man who's face was covered with a brown rag like a mask. I tried to bumshuffle backwards but it was futile, I'd just end up in the river and then drown cause I couldn't swim.

The hooded man knelt by my side and took my chin in his hand, turning it roughly so he could inspect my face. I shook in fear and whimpered, trying to move away. My eyes flickered to where Ant was but his body was still unmoving and I could see his blood pooling out from his shoulder.

"Not a fighter but pretty." He hummed, moving his dirty fingers and opening my mouth to check my teeth, "Um... very pretty.... Healthy too. Bag the boy." He ordered pushing my head down to hit the grass as two bulky men with matching face masks made their way towards me.

"P-please d-don't-" I squirmed as they grabbed the back of my head aggressively and placed a folded clothe over my mouth. I felt drowsy all of a sudden and my eyes lids felt heavy as I breathed in the toxic scent. The last thing I felt was as they gently lowered my limp body down and with my final drops of remaining energy, I held my eyes open to watch as two different men picked up Ants limp body and dragged him away.
