This is a long one...
In one day, I'd worn more different outfits then I had in my entire life. Right now I was dressed in one of the less feminine things the girls decided would look good and was playing pretend as the handsome prince. I enjoyed the irony of that particular game.
I didn't understand how they had to much energy! We'd been playing for hours now! My job, as the prince (although I looked ridiculous in the armour that was way too big for me and the helmet that kept slipping over my eyes) was to save the beautiful princess (Kitty) from the evil, but beautiful duh, Northern queens (Natalie and Camilla). I basically had to run around and not get stabbed until I'd reached the bed where Kitty was waiting, giggling at the scene.
I won't lie, I was kinda enjoying myself. More because it was what I'd always imagined being a little kid and having friends or siblings to play with would be like. I felt like a little child and acted like one to.
The girls were very nice to me which I was grateful for although a concept they struggled to grasp was that I didn't have as much energy as them and I was exhausted from a very long day.
Just as I'd jumped onto the bed and captured Kitty In my arms there was a knock at the door and Kitty huffed.
"Come in!"
A very hesitant looking servant stepped in with his head bowed.
"Your father has requested you down for dinner little Miss. Your friend's fathers are ready to take them home."
"Thankyou Christian." The man bowed and quickly exited the room whilst Kitty slide from the bed.
"Come on Declan." The little girl sang and I followed obediently, after pulling off the helmet and chainmail, as they all filed out of the room towards the grand hallway.
Two of little girls gave me a hug before running of to their fathers who bid goodevening to Mr Cowell before leaving swiftly. I looked down at Natalie who was actually the quietest out of the 4.
"Is your father coming Nat?" I asked.
She shook her head, "My uncle should be coming but he's always really busy so is probably running late."
I nodded in understanding, I remember when nobody was there to pick me up from the nursery, I'd always just latch on to someone else's mother who lived very close and follow her home.
I smiled as she slotted her smaller hand in mine, "Shall we tell Mr Cowell?" I asked taking pity on her and she nodded.
Sheepishly, I approached the taller man and coughed to get his attention while the young girl hid behind me, she was just as scared of him as I was, "Excuse me sir... um... N-Natalie's Uncle will probably be running l-late."
"That's fine, Natalie you can have some dinner with us while you wait if you wish."
"Thankyou Mr Cowell." She whispered just as Kitty grabbed my hand and started tugging me to the dinner table.
When we reached the large oak table and a room filled with candles to spread light on the evening glow that shone about the room, my gaze flickered to the eldest sister who rolled her eyes when she saw me, "You aren't seriously bringing it to table Kitty? That's disgusting we eat here."
"Don't be rude Lisa." Mr Cowell growled behind us while Kitty just stuck her tongue out immaturely. "I take it as you like your new present Kitty?"
