Paging Dr. Shakur... come in Dr. Shakur...
At the age of 25, Tupac Shakur is truly at the top of his field as the youngest doctor to date at the first Black-owned Hospital in America known as Mekka Creek where he's proven to have saved dozens of liv...
"I said faster!" Belinda demanded as the young man sped up his hip action. "Right there..."
"You taste like candy." He grumbled in his suave accent.
Her eyes fluttered then widened as she saw the time on the wall clock. "Oh my!" She pushed him away as he only came back for more. "I'm sorry sweetie but mamas got someplace to be, Pierre."
Belinda fixed her blouse and restrained from almost slapping him. He wouldn't let off, this man had the sex drive of a bull and stamina of a racehorse. She hated to pull apart so soon but she had more important things to do like keeping her promise to Aaliyah.
Pierre was a 26-years old ex-film star from California. After many failed attempts to break into the movie industry, he decided to turn a character of a script that he was turned down for into his reality. His birth name was Todd Xanderbys and the closes he's been to France was through a history book back in high school.
"Please stay for a few." He begged.
"No can do." She made clear then got her purse and headed toward the exit of her home. "Let yourself out."
Belinda had stood up her daughter the other day for this meet-up fling with Pierre. But today that was all behind her. She was going to walk through those hospital doors like nothing ever happened. It wasn't her fault anyway that her child chose to screw up her own life.
"Ugh!" She frowned just thinking "I hate hospitals." She rubbed on another coat of bright red lipstick then pulled off.
"Good morning!" The receptionist greeted.
"I'm just here to pick up my child." Belinda sashayed over to the elevators and took it up to floor two. She stopped for coffee at a vending machine on her way to room 305. "I usually don't drink this cheap goo but I'm in need of a quick fix this morning."
She whistled a tune and continued after her first sip.
Surprisingly, it didn't taste as bad as she would've assumed prior. Her manicured hands gripped the cup when she twisted open Aaliyah's door.
Seeing her lying there in bed with Dr. Shakur.
Their limbs entwined as she rested on his tatted chest. Belinda gulped not knowing what else to say or do. She left the room for a moment and leaned against the hallway wall. Trying to process everything. God must've heard her prayers.
"Oh! God." Aaliyah started to wake, feeling the cool breeze from the opened door.
"Thank you!" Belinda uttered repeatedly. "I knew it was only a matter of time."
She returned to the room as Aaliyah pulled the bedsheets over herself. "Mom, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to pick you up, but it looks like you've done some picking of your own." She smirked while eyeing Tupac.
Aaliyah blushed. "Can I have time to dress before I'm interrogated?"
"Sure. Sure. Here I brought you a coffee." Belinda sat the drink on the nightstand. "Take your time now."
Tupac helped carry her luggage and things out to the car. And they kissed goodbye. As she slid him a slip of paper with her phone number on it. Belinda couldn't stop smirking she wanted to know all the details. Aaliyah got into the passenger seat and they drove home.
"So..."
"So?" She picked at the radio as Belinda swatted her hands away like they were buzzing flies. "Ow! I will not be abused any longer."
"Girl stop being dramatic and spill the beans on Mr. Right?" Belinda pressed. "I used to date this doctor back in my day and not marrying him was the second-worst decision of my life."
"What was the first?"
"Your father." Belinda kept it real which gained her a side-eye from Aaliyah. "But I got two precious kids from that situation. So I guess all those years spent with that insufferable bastard was worth it in the long run."
"Didn't you guys love each other at one point?" Aaliyah asked with hopeful eyes.
"It depends on your definition of love." She retorted. "Truly I had no business dating a garbage man anyway. I don't know what I ever saw in him. My best years wasted..." Belinda zoned out.
Conversations about her father were never sweet ones.
Let Belinda tell it he ruined her life.
They pulled up into the gated community and reached the large brick home. "Whose going to get my bags?" Aaliyah squealed on their way to the door.
"Arias can once he shows up."
"That'll be like how many hours from now?" She pouted. "I need my things now, mom."
"Okay! I'll see what I can do."
A shadow moved through the hallways before Pierre appeared out of nowhere as naked as the day he was born. Both women yelled in unison upon seeing him. "I made you breakfas-"
"Pierre! I thought I told you to leave you ingrate." Belinda hissed. "Now go..."
"Can I call you later on or-" Pierre tried to make a deal on his way out of the front door. He scooped up his clothes from the carpet and walked.
"No, you cannot call me... not after this."
"My eyes are scarred." Aaliyah giggled with her hand still shielding her face. "Is it over yet?"
"Of course."
"Who was that?" She wanted to know.
Belinda sat her purse on the kitchen counter. "Let's just say you aren't the only one who has had her share of pickings lately."
"Oh My God! I don't even want to know." The thought of that made Aaliyah uncomfortable as she tiptoed to her old bedroom.
