She had dedicated every waking minute to becoming better. Progress started to be made. And she could walk a little but still relied on her wheelchair for faster travel. Most of her days were spent chatting with Fatima or a member of the basketball team.

Aaliyah started to wonder why Tupac hadn't reached out since three weeks ago.

Maybe they rushed things before really getting to know each other.

"Sweetheart, the last of your boxes arrived." Belinda barged into her room carrying a box. It was filled with Ginuwine's things. And was even marked with a big red 'G' in front of it. "Oh! Wrong box-"

"No, leave it, please."

"You aren't seriously thinking about keeping this stuff?" Belinda grumbled. "The more you hold onto him, the more you'll never move on."

"I know... I need time that's all."

"It's been months get over it." Belinda switched out of the room after saying that leaving Aaliyah to her own devices. She dug into the box taking out one of his old flannels that smelled of his cologne. A brief sniff was taken as she then held it close to her. Memories of him wearing it flooded her thoughts, but she knew she had to let go.

It was only right.

But before she could do that she needed now more than ever to properly mourn. So she scheduled a visit to the graveyard. The large wheels of her wheelchair crunched through leaves as Fatima pushed her towards Ginuwine's tombstone inside of the fog. Belinda followed up behind them moving carefully to avoid the mud path they were creating.

They backed away allowing her time to speak with him alone as if he was sitting there in person. She lowered the yellow tulips onto his grave feeling a brush of wind pushing through her long bangs.

Yellow was their color which also happened to be the color of happiness.

"Sorry, I couldn't make it to your funeral." She spoke in a soft tone. "I can almost hear you telling the angels about us and all the wonderful moments we shared down here on earth. Which has me beyond jealous because I used to adore your voice. I never told you that but I wish I did let you know how important you were to my world."

"Awe." Fatima mouthed.

"After all, it was you that gave me a place to stay in your heart. And for this reason, I'll always have a space in mine for you, I miss you."

Tears once again stained her cheekbones as her mother stepped over and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
