On a beautiful evening you were sitting on the rooftop of your apartment building that was also attached to an antiques shop owned by your father.
You always admired the orange, reds, and pinks the sky makes during this hour, the way the beautiful colors pop behind the dark silhouettes of company buildings or apartments, I guess that's why you loved painting here, it was always fun to draw and paint.
You picked up your blank canvas and placed it on your easel stained with previous paint smudges from your previous masterpieces, and placed your various sizes of paint brushes on a small folding table next to your folding chair and went to work, you gently painted the canvas, smiling with each graceful stroke of the brush.
You can't lie, you've always had a knack for painting. It helped you cope with a lot of your issues of the past or the now, like your social anxiety. You can't help it, your nerves kick in when having any human contact.
You sigh, cursing yourself for thinking about it ,but return your focus back to your work. You start getting back into your rhythm until a loud thud startles you causing you to draw across your art.
You curse yourself under your breathe looking at your now ruined art piece, "Dammit, (Y/N)..."
Though you looked around the rooftop to see what that noise could of possibly originated. Maybe a stray animal? A pigeon maybe? Or possibly the wind picked up and knocked something over? You peek around the various vent ducts and air conditioners that made a maze on the rooftop.
And there you see it, a large big shadow lingering on the roof. It definitely couldn't be human even though it had gotten darker you can see a bit of green when the light bounces off it's skin, and it looks rough and scaly.
You were shocked, what was it? why is it here? Many questioned lingered in your head as you watched this things shape get bigger and bigger, 'It's coming this way....IT'S COMING MY WAY!' Your heart started to race as it came closer, you didn't know if it seen you or not. It got closer and closer, you could hear it breathing behind the vent duct you were hiding behind. You could hear the sound as metal scraped against something. 'It had a weapon?!' You held your breath to not give away your position.
"That should fix my katana." a voice behind the vent duct said, it was a gentle and calm voice.
'It can speak?...You pondered still shocked about the whole situation. It didn't see me?' You peaked to see the creature out of curiosity.
You saw a tall green creature, muscular built, wearing rags and different items on it's 'shell'??, with a blue mask think over his eyes..big blue eyes.
It bent over and grabbed some duct tape off a table on your roof, some of your stuff you use for other arts and crafts. When it rose back to it's original height it hit it's head on one of your mason jars filled with some decorative lights from a arts and crafts store, with painted designs on the outside. You hung them up on a support beam connected to your foldable tent for a light source.
It rubbed it's head in response and you let out a small snicker and quickly covered your mouth hoping he didn't hear that. You heard some noises and took a peak, but he wasn't there anymore.
'Did I scare him away? And wow he's fast!' Your mind was boggled and kinda relieved he was gone. Until you felt something breathe on your left shoulder, you turn in response and saw only blue orbs and some more blue along with some green.
It was staring at you face to face, you flinched and quickly back up ready to scream. It quickly covered your mouth before you could even let out a whimper. "SHHHH!" it quickly exclaimed.
"Ma'am I know this might be frightening, but I'm not here to harm you in anyway." He reassures you, still holding half your face with his three fingers.
You automatically scan him up and down out of instinct to probably figure out a way to escape his strong grasp. He was holding a katana with blue ribbon wrapped around the handle.
'Yeah... real assuring my ass..' you thought.
He took your silence as cooperation, "Okay, please don't scream when I let go of your mouth." He looked at you for an answer.
You nod in response, and he lets go off your mouth.
You look at him out of fear and curiosity, "W-What are you?" You ask it.
"I'm a Turtle,Mutant,Man-I mean...Teenager.." He struggled to find the right words to say.
"O-Okay, Mr. Turtle Man.." You stutter.
"I'd prefer it if you called me Leonardo, or Leo." He smiled to ease the tension.
You couldn't help ,but imagine the artist Leonardo Di Vinci. 'Curse your art knowledge!'
"Cool, My name's (Y/N)." You held out your hand gesturing for a hand shake.
He was taken aback a bit ,but took you small hand and gently shook it.
"I apologize for the scare, and using for what I assume are your things." He admits standing at his full height.
You looked up at him hurting your neck a little trying to keep eye contact. "It's no problem, Leo."
"I'm glad that you don't feel ill will towards me, but now I must go." He walks over to the table from earlier and picks up another katana with duct tape on where the handle should be.
You didn't know what else to say or do, so you watched him collect his gear.
"Oh and, don't tell anyone about my existence (Y/N)(L/N)." He said in a calm yet threatening kind of tone while putting his katanas in a holster on his back.
"Wait, how'd you know my last name?" You questioned.
"Your last name is on the antique shop sign." He answered quickly as he jumped from your roof to another one above like a superhuman.
It was like watching an action film take place right in front of your eyes. You returned back to your easel and looked at your ruined painting ,but took some green and blue from your paint jars and started drawing again, a giant turtle covered that mess up from earlier...
Now you pondered...Would you see Leonardo again?...
