A confession: Donatello

'You laid in bed thinking of how close you and donnie were that day, how close you both were to interlocking lips and such...god why did Leo had to enter so abruptly?! Why couldn't he had waited after it had happened?!' you internally cursed and just flopped over with your face buried deep into your pillow and let out an annoyed groan.

you peeked from your pillow to the alarm clock on your nightstand beside your bed, '9:23 PM how lovely usually I've had something productive done today like my homework or a project, or even read a novel!' you informed yourself, 'but noooooo! you're here wallowing around feeling pity for yourself for not getting a measly kiss!' you were annoyed with yourself and a tap came at your window causing you to jump up and forget your inner thoughts for a second.

It was donnie crouched down so his head was in full view to identify him, he slightly waved and smiled to get your attention, You got up quickly and opened the window for him and stepped back to give him some room to properly squeeze in all the way.

When he got in he towered over you because of his enormous height, he looked down at you, "Hey Y/N" he said in an awkward tone and rubbed the back of his neck.

You felt kinda awkward too, "Hey don." you answered back with the same awkward and embarrassed tone. You could already feel your face getting red from the heat you felt on your cheeks just mentally replaying the incident in your head.

Then there was some awkward almost unbearable silence until he finally said something to kinda break the ice.

"Hey um, listen about what happened in the lab.." he started with an awkward chuckle and rubbed the back of his neck to either re-find the courage he just had to finish up what he was gonna say or to find the words he was gonna say.

You took those choice of words and chuckle as something negative as if that kiss didn't mean anything and it was just a heat in the moment thing.. you were about to cry thinking he didn't feel the same way as you did for him. and suddenly the waterworks came..

This caught Donnie off guard and he tried to process what had happened or if he said something wrong, "W-Wow! are you ok? are you hurt? did I say something wrong?" he asked hoping to get a conclusive answer from you.

You just sniffled and kinda sobbed and finally composed yourself, "It's ok if you don't feel the same donnie..I can understand.." you informed him so he wouldn't feel bad.

He was stunned at first and shook his hands at you almost like jazz hands, "No,no,no, that's not what I was gonna say..I was uhm actually gonna be the other way around.." he admitted with an awkward laugh.

You looked him kinda confused obviously looking for a more conclusive explanation, "huh?" you wiped your tears.

He took a deep breathe to continue, "well Y/N.. I have developed...feelings for you.." he finally admitted..

You're eyes lit up and your heart fluttered at those words, "Y-you like me?" you asked him to make sure what you were hearing was what you hearing.

Donnie just simply looked at you and gave you a firm nod while rubbing the back of his neck.

You were so happy and relieved to hear those words and just hugged him instantly, placing your hands on the back of his cold shell rubbing it gently to feel the texture, "I like you too donnie~" you admitted in a sweet tone.

Donnie seemed relieved and let out a sigh or relief and letting his shoulders relax, "oh thank shell.." he said with relief. "I was worried you were gonna say no and never speak to me ever again." he admitted.

You smiled, "No way in shell would I let that happen." you told him firmly and looked up at him with a smile. He looked down at you and gave you a loving smile back.

You hope to see this smile everyday for the rest of your life..
