You walked into the library with a list of books donatello wanted to get, but because he was a turtle he couldn't just casually walk in their freely like a normal person.

Mrs.Kim was as usual very pleased to see you, and greeted you like she's always had.

"Hello Y/N, came to return your book?" She asked politely.

"Yes, and I came to check out some books for a friend." You answered.

"For a friend? Why couldn't they come?" She asks curiously.

"Well he has xeroderma pigmentosum, and the library is usually closed at night." She felt bad for lying, but couldn't tell her she was friends with a giant turtle man who lives in the sewers and fights the foot clan.

She'd go to the nuthouse for sure.

"Ah I see, what a shame." She understood.

You hand her your book you checked out first.

"And as usual no damage." She smiled proudly.

You smiled proudly.

"May I see the list of books your friend would like?" She asks politely.

"Oh yeah sure." You dug out the piece of paper from your satchel purse and handed it to her.

She took it and and opened it up to check what was needed.

"Organic chemistry.." She started to say out loud while typing on her computer.

"Automotive technology.." She continued.

"Turtle Biology.."

"Life cycle of turtles.."

"Forensic science."

"New York City History."

"The Life of a turtle."

"and.. a cook book?" She raised a brow at the odd collection of books.

"Your friend must really like turtles." She points out and chuckles.

You chuckle back ironically, because he is a turtle.

"Yeah he sure does." You smiled.

"Say, I don't mean to be nosy, but...' She smirks.

"I've noticed you haven't been coming to the library as often as you used to since you met this mysterious boy.." She points out.

"A-Ah you think so?" You stuttered.

"mhm, it's almost like..." She jokingly ponders.

"You have a crush on him?" She smiled

"W-Wha?- No!!" You got embarrassed.

"Alright, alright, if you say so." She chuckled.

Her assistant came over with a stack of books.

"Thanks Marcy." She told the assistant and started to scan the barcodes on all the books.

"If you are interested in this boy.." She looked over at some magazines  on a moving cart.

"Then I suggest you take this." She picked up a magazine and slid it towards you.

You read the title, Teens Dream: Signs a boy likes you.

Your cheeks became an intense red color, you looked up at the librarian who had a smug look on her face.

"thanks." You shyly mumbled and took the books.

"Come back any time~" She waved you bye.

You waved back and walked out and walked into an alleyway with a open manhole.
