"Livia, there you are. I've been looking all over for you," Jane exclaimed joyously while running towards me across the hall, waving her arm frantically, gaining curious looks from various students.

"She only searched two rooms," Alan informed me, walking sluggishly behind Jane.

"I don't know her," A red head behind Alan said with a smile, averting her gaze from Jane. Her vibrant red hair cascades down on her shoulder, the longer strands flowing behind her back. The bangs are a bit long, some falling close to her eyes, adding more definition to her dark blue eyes, which are a contrast to Jane's steely blue ones. She was vaguely familiar.

It was after School, nearly 7pm, and I was stuffing some books into my locker, not even bothering to make it presentable and in turn making it look much like a pigsty. And its the first day. Not that I would clean it, I'm too tired for that. I reluctantly take the materials I would need for the assignment Mr. Harrison gave and close the door, turning to face Jane as her chirpy voice interrupted my train of thoughts.

"Hey there," I greeted them, laughing at the remarks of Alan and the red head.

Jane turned around, shooting her friends a glare. "You two seriously need to stop."

Alan and the red head glanced at each other with confused expressions.

"What did I say Avery?"

So the red head is Avery.

"I believe it was the truth, Alan," Avery said in a fake british accent.

I've heard those lines somewhere before.

From the 'Daily lives of teenagers'.

"You're Ashley?" I blurted out upon realisation.

"Also known as Avery. Nice to meet you Livia." Avery strode past Alan and towards me, offering a hand once she's within arm range. I take it and we shake hands, the gesture friendly, though I was burning of jealousy from the fact that she's the one who co-starred with Alan on his first and probably last series. Avery doesn't seem to notice as she continued, "I've heard a lot about you."

"Not any bad stuff, I hope."

"Not at all. Pretty impressive stuff actually."

I raised my brows questioningly, offering an awkward smile.

"I've heard all about how you managed to woo Deon."

Excuse me? Why would I-

"That huge dog is never that friendly with me."

Oh. The dog, not the human.

"If it helps, I thought it would bite my head off," I laughed, still petrified at the thought of the giant dog chasing after me.

Alan glanced between his friends and me, appearing confused. "What?"

Jane and Avery promptly choose to ignore him, Avery continueing, "he's just a giant teddy bear. And he likes you too, so you don't need to worry."
