"So to what do I owe the pleasure of getting your call this early, Deon?" I replied sarcastically to my best friend's greeting, walking across the auditorium, sipping a packet of strawberry milk.

It was currently lunch break for me, after an hour of self practice and orchestra. Deon had called just as I had gotten out of class.

"To me of course," he answered smoothly, making me want to hit the back of his head.

"Sure, sure."

"Do you miss me yet, Livia?"

"Nah," I replied, looking around, "its so peaceful here. Why would I?"

"I know you do," he confirmed.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." I finished the strawberry milk, taking another packet from my bag; I was hungry. "By the way, what happened to your stalker ex girlfriend?"

"She isn't my ex," Deon groaned, "it was awful, specially last night."

"What happened?"

"I made it clear that I didn't want to have anything to do with her, she finally left."

"Wait, didn't you leave to some country to get rid of her?"

"Yeah."

"She followed you?"

"Yeah."

"Your ex girlfriend's are all crazy," I laughed, "why would she follow you?"

"She said she thought I was playing hard to get," Deon answered in a serious voice, annoyance seeping into his tone.

"Wow."

"I know," he agreed, "but leave my crazy ex alone and spill."

"I'm not spilling my strawberry milk. Its good."

"Livia."

"That's my name, yeah."

"I know you didn't go there to just study." I could almost see the annoyed expression on his face.

"Gee, thanks for all the faith you have in me," I said sarcastically, "and schools are for studying, you know."

"I know the pianist you're a fan of goes there."

"I didn't know that actually. It was surprising." I mumbled.

"So?" He pressed.

"I met him, yeah. But more importantly, when are you gonna come back?"

"You miss me that much Liv?"

"No."

"I'll be back in a month, maybe sooner."

He sounded tired, his voice dropping with exhaustion.

"Tell me when you do," I demanded, stepping into an old building.

"So demanding," he laughed.

The old building was at the far back of the school yard, behind the main building, so there wasn't a soul in sight. Grass and several plants had grown near it randomly, and several spider webs lined the corners f the walls, giving the place an eerie feeling. It would look at home in a horror movie. Thinking a walk through it might be fun, I went in. That's when I heard it. The unmistakable sound of a piano.

"I'll call you later, Deon. Bye."

"Okay? Bye Liv."

I hung up on him, my eyes widening.
