The party to celebrate Isaac's birthday is huge. It was the opposite from the memorial party they had for him in August even though that one was nostalgic this one was a better cause we got to remember the good and not the bad. Cassey dragged me around and we danced a little. Azrael had allowed us to only get one alcoholic drink and no more. Right now we were swarming the garden of an old friends backyard looking for the rest when I heard a yell.
"Oh my gaaahd!" I turned around in time to get tackled by a hyperactive Freecia. She laughed as she hugged me.
"Gurl! It's been fucking ages! Where ya been at!" She squealed. I giggled.
"No where special just trying to stay alive" she pulled away. Leticia Freeman or more known as Freecia. When Azrael adopted me from the streets back ten years ago, Leticia was my first friend after Cassey.
"Yo, guys when ya done with your lesbo shit tell us hm?"we both look up as the rest come up.
" Hamza my man!" I smile up at the boy wearing a cap backwards a black shirt and white jeans and converses. He smirked at me. Hamza N'Dolo, a real dickhead but pro in hacking.
"Wassup bois! Oh! Riles ya here!" Behind then pops up a half tipsy Tiana holding a red cup. Her brown shirt soaked in what I guess is sweat and her skirt swaying with her as her addidas shoes fail to keep her steady. She falls into Moussa. The youngest of us, in his last year of middle school but as tall as a high schooler.
"Dude you stink get the hell off yo!" Moussa chuckles at the girl pushing her off making her land in Djenile's arms. Djen's our big sis also Cassey twin with just 4 minutes ahead. She scrunches her nose at Tiana's smell.
"Yo who spilled booze on this hoe? Now she be smellin like old rat shit!" She says. Tiana sticks her tongue at her.
"Shut up y'all ain't fun! Riles get up we're dancing!" I don't get to reply as she swoops me out of Freecia's grasp and we get on the dance floor. This is what I loved about them. They could be going through the worst shit yet they still smile and party. Call it delusional but I knew this was something I wanted to keep.
