I panted diving right as one of Vicar's black arrows was going to touch me. I jumped over a rock and started chanting. The ground glowed under him and electricity caught him. He groaned. I smirked and flung a black shadow at him.
"That's it," we both stopped as Grandfather spoke.
"Good very good Riley, but you need to work on the dodging more concentrate on when you dive, what if Vicar had had a black hole awaiting?" I nod. Vicar grunts.
"I should stop holding back," he muttered. I turned to him and bowed.
"Thank you for today Sir," he glanced at me.
"No need, its my duty to make sure you're in good shape" I nodded.
Its been two weeks since I've started working to be a heiress again. Things have gone smoothly. School would be over soon and I'd be entering Senior year in August. The thought makes me sigh. Right before August we still had a lot to do. I need to learn more about the elements of this world. I turned to the benches with a sad look. Logan couldn't make it today. Usually he was there for training watching over me and encouraging me. But since our talk hr decided to restart training too. He enrolled in a side Academy having lessons from 2pm after school to 8 at night. Mine were until 6 then I'd go two hours into the library and read about elements or go see my father.
Father,
It felt weird thinking of him like that again. He really changed he did his best to be here after training when he could or come earlier. He was kinder and more caring. Aunt Gabriela seemed sad I was leaving at first when I told her, but she knew I had duty here. I was allowed to visit though.
And for my hair. It doesn't take hair dye anymore, I've tried. It just stays half black half blonde. The tips were a jet black going up til a little under my shoulder then the rest was blonde. Even my clothes changed. Every white I wore turned black. Grandfather said or was normal since I was becoming a full on sheen.
"A what?" I had asked.
"A sheen is the mix of a teenager and a young queen, your magic is refusing anything coming from light which means even the food you might consume shall change color," I would've liked to be aware before I touched water and it changed to a dark substance.
I snapped back to reality when u heard Father call me.
"Riley, is everything alright?" He asked concerned. I blinked. I didn't even realised he had showed up.
"Yeah, just tired," he hummed.
"Take a rest for now, maybe go see that fire boy," I chuckled. Father couldn't stand Logan but even though he hated his guts he still took him in consideration since I told him Logan was the one for me.
"Can I?" Grandfather nodded while father huffed. I giggled and grabbed my back. I high fived Vicar, kissed Dad's cheek and hugged grandfather before running out.
"See you tonight for the meeting," I yelled while running Johann tagging behind in his crow form.
As I walked down the halls of the Academy I looked around. So this where Logan studied until middle school. I stopped before a shelf holding trophies. One in particular caught my attention.
Elemental Sports Festival
Number one Prize
Logan Milles
I looked down at the photo leaning on the trophy. A smile formed on my face as I did.
A younger version of Logan was stood with a proud smile a bruised face and a slightly hanging sport uniform. I chuckled then walked off. I turned a corning towards the gym where he'd be taking his last lesson. As I opened the door I was met with squeaking noises and thumping. They were in the middle of training. I walked over to the bleachers and eyed the room for Logan. I found him on the side sparing with a man about my Father's age. He was holding a spear made out of fire while blocking hits from the older one. I looked around more to notice it was a whole class. There sport uniform was red and black with orange strips to it. The shirt and orange red color with a fire emblem on the left shoulder area while the pants were red and black orange strips over the black. I turned to the students on the bleachers who cheered for the rest. They hadn't seemed to notice me so I just took out my phone, Johann having turned into a small keychain long ago now latched to my bag. I didn't pay attention until I heard something.
"Hey see that one over there," I glanced at the three girls talking. They were pointing at Logan.
"Yeah, he's an old student who just returned"
"Isn't he hot"
"I know right, but others say he's kinda weird"
"I heard his last girlfriend died,"
"Which means he's free!"
"I'll ask for his number"
"Lol good luck he's been throwing off every girl who tried"
"Well its not like he'll throw me off!"
I rolled my eyes at them. Soon I heard a whistle go off signaling the end of practice. The boys stopped and started packing to leave. I saw the three girls making there way to Logan while he was tying his laces again. I jumped down the bleachers and walked over watching as they tried flirting with him.
"Hey there Milles" the green eyed and blonde one said swaying her hips.
"Oh you three again, let me guess" he crossed his arms.
"Carla" he pointed at the brunette.
"Veronica," the blonde one.
"Georgia," the smaller red haired one. They all giggled.
"You remembered us, hey how about we go to karaoke right now?" Carla asked.
"No thanks," he declined. Veronica narrowed her gaze. She grabbed his hand.
"But Miley! You never hang out with anyone! Come with us at least today," he raised a brow. I just stood by a pole watching eyes narrowed.
"She's right! Don't you want to be friends?" Georgia questioned. Logan didn't even budge.
"Why would I?" He asked.
"What do you mean, don't you wanna have fun?" Carla asked her hands all over him. He scoffed pushing them away.
"First off, ew next I don't need your so called friendship, now bye"
"But but, Miley!" Veronica whined hugging him. I snapped when I saw her try to smother my boyfriend.
"You-"
"Logan," I called. He turned around and his face morphed from slightly about to snap at them to a happy one.
"Mara," I walked over to him and stared at the so called Veronica.
"Who are you?" They asked.
"I should be the one asking considering you're molesting my boyfriend," I stated. There eyes widened.
"Now please let him go" I asked. The two behind stepped away but Veronica glared at me.
"Like hell! Miley let's go," I looked at Logan with a raised brow.
"Logan," I asked. He shook his head.
"Veronica either you let go or I'll fucking burn you alive," he muttered eyes closed trying to calm down. Her eyes widened but she let go. I huffed and grabbed his arm walking out.
Logan laughed the way back while I just stayed silent.
"Oh come on are you pouting?" I didn't reply.
"Mara, baby you know I wouldn't do that behind your back, those girls are just crazy" I huffed.
"That's not it" I muttered. He raised brow as we arrived at his house.
"Then what?" I didn't answer until we made it to his room.
"I don't want...anyone touching you" I whispered under my breath. He frown.
"What?" I flushed in embarrassment.
"I DON'T WANT...ANYONE TOUCHING YOU!" There was silence for a moment before Logan walked to me.
"Then you won't have to worry about that, I'm all yours" I looked into his green eyes as he said that and smiled.
"And I'm all yours" I repeated. He grinned and leaned down kissing me.
"Forever?" He asked. I nodded hugging him.
"Forever"

That was okay. We weren't normal but we had each other.
Forever
