Logan breathed into my neck. He was nervous about what to say.
"I've, grown up always being told u had a specific talent for that power of mine, people always complimented me, things started getting to my head" he sighed
"I thought I was unbeatable and that I could take over anytime, during a tournament though, I was up against someone who was highly above my level, even though I was older that person was more experienced, I tasted defeat for the first time that day but you know what"I look at him. He smiled at me fondly.
"I also learned something when that same person said, 'There's no such thing as a useless loss, look ahead as soon as you gave your all you're still-" my eyes widened.
"A winner," I remember back then telling those words to a little twat who seemed too sure of himself, so I thought a lesson was needed. I wasn't expecting that twat to someday be my boyfriend.
"Crazy how back then I fell for you and today again I find myself falling all over again," he chuckled. I smiled.
"Those words weren't much to others but they struck a nerve in me, I was then determined to be who I wanted and win in that way, I started taking art lessons and music lessons often skipping just to see the street raps around the neighborhood, during one I met Mac, she'd just moved to America and was kinda lost, we became friends then met Ty in fourth grade, everything seemed fine until mid middle school, I met Charlotte at that time, I was confused back then and thought it was you, little did I know she'd been keeping an eye on me, at the time I was too young and rowdy to understand so I fell for her charms, I did everything she wanted and asked for, what felt like a childish love turned into a nightmare in no time," he sighed.
"We started fighting yelling and our so called relationship was at risk, either she got jealous of me spending time with friends too much or I'd surprise her with another guy, it drove me insane and when I had enough I broke up with her," I frowned.
"That's when she used something on me, a bond like the one I used on you, I didn't know when she'd had time to put it but it was there, she then blew fire on me, needless to say she felt the pain too and bruises formed on her skin, she then threatened to go tell everyone I was responsible, she was quite loved by people while I was considered a threat for being born in a fire family, things took an even more drastic turn when I tried to fight her, we were in the hall back then and she pushed me down the stairs, I broke my neck but I was able to heal it before death hit me, sadly she didn't have those talents" my head shot up.
"She died right then, I spent weeks and a year mourning her death, my parents and Jayce did there best to reassure me since they knew what had happened, I took therapy for the measure and started streets fight to let off some steam, I dropped out of Ability Academies, my powers got uncontrollable but I refused to go back when that was where I'd met Charlotte, sadly every place I enrolled to I ended up having a mental break down burning the building and lots of people, I was considered a pyromaniac then I came here and met you again, I didn't recognise you at all but I guess faith wanted us to meet again" he smiled. I smiled back.
"Logan," I mutter.
"Let's promise each other, this time, nothing should get in our way" he smiled widely.
"Yes,"
