At last, the final person arrived, with 16 boxes and almost $20 in supplies. Then we loaded on everything else, and everyone climbed aboard. We got about twenty feet from the shore and a worker at the shipyard gleefully hit a remote. The shipyard exploded, and the shock wave pushed us out to sea. Everyone cheered, especially those who worked in the shipyard. Whether it was because they were glad to see the shipyard explode or happy to be free, I will never know. After about an hour, the tall concrete walls surrounding the block disappeared. Then I headed down to my cabin.

It was apparently "nothing fancy" but it was incredible! It was about 10 square feet by 6 square feet, and my roommate was Coral! I claimed the bed on the bottom, then she came in and claimed the top bunk. She helped me set up the music, set it on repeat then wrapped it in plastic again. We have cardboard walls between the rooms and a wood and metal wall between the boat and the ocean, so we have to be somewhat quiet for our neighbors. Like that would happen.

Then I walked to the girls bathroom, IT HAD 6 TOILETS THAT WORK!!!!!!!!! We don't often get working toilets in the block, so a toilet that was not a closed lot of land seemed nothing short of a miracle. I relieved myself, and headed out to discover things.

There was an incredibly wonderful smell drifting through the air. I followed it to a small room. It was a fancy kitchen. I knew one of the people busying around to prepare the kitchen for either a storm or a food pillage. Her name is Mrs Redsnap, and she is a backer. She recognized me as well and pulled me into a corner. She gave me a pinch of some grainy, brown sand. She said it was real sugar, and I ate it. It was the most wonderful thing I ever tasted. It felt like a party in my mouth! With lots of dancing, that is.

" We have sugar plant saplings as well as plums, tomatoes, wheat and much more!" she said with zest. She pressed an overripe apple into my hand, putting a finger to her lips and I set off exploring again, and I was excited. Who knew what else I might find?
