7th YEAR

I walked onto the train with Sirius, Remus, Peter and Frank, who had become an honorary Marauder over the summer.

"Where should we go mates?" Sirius asked, clapping his hands together with a grin on his face.

"Sirius. We're really late, there's probably none left." Frank groaned.

"One might not be." I grinned mischievously.

"James?" Sirius smirked.

"Head's compartment here we come!" I grinned, turning in the other direction and walking to the front of the train.

But when we reached the Head's compartment I saw that it was already occupied.

But I grinned when I saw who it was occupied by.

"Morning Evans!" I grinned.

"Potter." She replied curtly, I don't think she hates me as much as last year.

"Mind if we crash here Evans?" Sirius grinned.

"Hi Black. Hi Remus, hi Peter, hi Frank." She waved.

"How come Sirius gets a hello?" I frowned.

"Because, unlike you, Black doesn't love to annoy the shit out of me daily." She glowered, her friends snickering in the background.

"Yeah James." Sirius tutted.

"Shut it Padfoot." I rolled my eyes.

"Anyway, so can we?" Frank asked.

"Don't see why not." Lily shrugged.

We looked at her, gaping, and she rolled her eyes.

"You would've come in regardless of what I said. And Alice would have killed me if I said no."

We laughed a little and she just turned back to her friends.

"That went better than expected Prongs." Sirius smirked.

"Will you give it a rest?" I groaned.

"Probably not." He laughed.

"Thought as much." I grinned.

We talked for a minute before Evans, Remus and I had to go to a Prefects meeting.

"Morning, now let's make this as short as possible. I'm Lily Evans, Head Girl and this idiot can introduce himself." She sighed, pointing to me leaning on my chair.

"I'm your Head Boy James Potter, but you probably already know that." I winked, some of the girls giggled and Lily just groaned.

"We're never going to get through this with you doing things like that."

"Fine." I shrugged.

"Basically, your duties are to patrol and stop trouble." Evans said.

"Here're your schedules." She continued, handing out said schedules.

"Inform me or him if there's a problem." She said, dismissing them.

The Prefects filed out and Remus, Evans and I returned to our compartment where Sirius, Peter, Frank, Hayes and Alice were talking.

Laurie Hayes was one of Evans's best friends. She was tall and tanned, had brown hair that was sun-bleached blonde from the amount of time she spent out in the sun and blue eyes.

Alice Vincent was Frank's long-term girlfriend. She was blonde and a bit shorter than average, she had brown eyes and we often joked that her and Hayes's eyes were mixed up.
