Christmas Shopping

I woke up late, no surprises there, and found that Lily was gone, no surprises there either.

I got out of bed tiredly, stuffed my glasses onto my face and walked over to my normal wardrobe, not the Forbidden Chest.

I grabbed some clothes, but I double checked that they weren't something I wanted to burn right now, and shoved them on sloppily.

I walked down to the kitchen where Remus, Frank, Alice and Mum were talking about one thing or another.

"Morning." I waved sleepily.

"Morning James." They chorused before they returned to their conversation.

"Morning Jenny." I yawned.

"Good morning Master James! What would Master like for breakfast?"

"Uh, just some toast Jenny." I yawned.

She nodded and hurried off.

"What's going on today?" I asked Remus.

"If you were paying attention James, Lily and Mrs Potter are going away for a bit." He rolled his eyes at me.

I poked my tongue out at the stupidly smart werewolf.

"Where is Lily anyway?" I asked.

"She's outside." Sirius shrugged.

I nodded and started to eat my toast as Jenny placed it on the table.

Once I'd finished Mum stood up and said that Lily and her had to go now.

"Lily!" Mum called.

A moment later Lily appeared in the kitchen.

She looked beautiful in the red, white and green striped strapless sun-dress that she was wearing with blood red combat boots and a short white cardigan.

Her hair had a small braid running from her left ear to the band that held it all together in a low pony-tail on her right side.

My mouth hung open and she rolled her eyes at me.

I grinned sheepishly and ruffled my hair out of instinct.

Lily rolled her eyes again and picked up a bag by the door I hadn't noticed before.

"See you all in a few days. Behave for your father James, you as well Sirius." She gave us all a hug and Lily just nodded before they walked out.

"So where are they going?" I asked.

"Mum didn't really say." Sirius shrugged.

"James?" Alice asked.

"Yeah Alice?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Since Lily's going to be gone for a few days I was wondering if I could, you know, go and stay at Laurie's?" She asked hesitantly.

"Go ahead, make Frank feel loved." I laughed.

Frank glared at me and I grinned innocently at him.

Alice blushed and hurried from the room, but not before she kissed Frank on the cheek.

Sirius and I made gagging motions and Frank and Remus rolled their eyes at us.

"PDA Frank! PDA!" Sirius cried.

"Jealous." Remus coughed, hiding a smirk.

Sirius glared at him and Frank and I started laughing.

"Am not!" Sirius cried indignantly.

We shook our heads, laughing, and he glared at us all.

"So how are we going to fill our days now?" Remus asked when we recovered from Sirius's episode.
