Almost a whole week passed and Evans had not spoken to any of us or made any move to even acknowledge our presence. Sirius kept gloating about how he was right but none of us would listen to him without proof.
"We've got to go." I said, checking my watch as it was now Saturday and 6:25 pm. We were almost late.
"Where?" Hayes asked suspiciously.
"Remus wants to talk to Frank in private and Sirius and I have more detention." I shrugged.
She nodded and we ran out of the common room and towards the gates at full-pelt.
"You're late." Jenkins said gruffly, opening the gate and holding out his arms.
We grabbed hold without a word and he apperated to the training grounds.
"If I were you I would try not to annoy Madam Snave too much, she doesn't like to teach the same things more than necessary." Jenkins warned before taking us into a small building.
The first thing I noticed in the building was how it was full of blank dummies and Snave was inspecting them one by one.
"Madam?" Jenkins said loudly.
"Send them to Gym 5 Jenkins, I'll be there in a minute." She said without looking at us.
"Yes Madam." He said before ushering us out and towards Gym 5.
This gym was more of a fighting arena than a gym.
The ground was a massive mat and there were cupboards filled with who knows what along the walls.
"Now, Madam will join us soon with your partners." Jenkins said.
And as soon as he said it four of the white dummies were thrown through the door followed by Madam Snave.
"These faceless dummies are around your capability so you should be fine. As I am the one initiating the challenge and the dummies are only programed to fight, not choose, you will choose the weapons both of you will use." Snave said.
And with a click of a button the walls flipped over to show a formidable array of weaponry.
"Go ahead. Though I suggest to pick something easy to manoeuvre as you are just starting out." Snave said.
I looked around and spotted a sword who's hilt was encrusted with rubies.
It looked easy enough to use so I picked it off the wall and walked over to Snave for no particular reason.
"That is a good choice Potter. Your dummy is the second to last one." She said before going over to the others to help them choose.
I shrugged and headed over to my dummy.
I picked it off the ground and it came to life.
It's head moved towards the sword in my hand and an identical one appeared in it's own.
After everyone was set up Snave showed us basic moves including jabs, stabs, dodging, blocking and cuts, that isn't actually what they're called but those names are so much easier to remember than the technical names.
When everyone got it she let us begin.
The dummy made the first move but I blocked it and made a jab at it's stomach, hitting my target.
This is pretty much what happened throughout the whole time, with the exception of when Snave took us out one by one again and showed us those fake images that were meant to help build emotional strength and teach us how to distinguish what's real from what's not.
