Francis and I arrived at the site for inspection and how lucky it is to see my beloved step-sister together with my ex-boyfriend laughing at each other while holding unto a cup of coffee. I would be honored to splash those liquid to her face, just to see her annoyed face once again.

But let me see how annoyed she will be when she sees me.

“Wow. This is big.” Francis commented as he got to my side, as I looked at him he's checking the land area as well.

“Big project you know. Let me introduce you to the other engineers.” I grinned as he innocently smiled and even gestured his hand to walk.

“I met Engr. Exor once before, gladly to see him again.” He added as we approached the two lovey-happy couple.

I cleared my troath just to get their attention.

And guess what.

My sister's eyes widen with surprise and even with her hot-red lipstick on I can see she turns pale when her eyes landed on me.

I gave her my most sweetest smile.

And as for Mr. Exor, he just stares at me blankly and even scanned the person besides me.

“Good Morning, This is Engr. Guarove. We're here for the same purpose you two are.” I smiled and eyed my step-sister who looked away.

Not today Sis. Not ever again.

Inaya ko na si Francis na maglibot sa site, and I can feel the gaze from those two following us.

“Your face is red the whole time. Was it too hot?” Francis said and handed me a bottle of water.

I sighed and sat beside him.

I just don't know what to feel seeing those two together. It's just so weird that they're getting along, right? Noon, halos pagtabuyan ni Lem si Olivia palayo sa amin.

“Nagseselos ka ba kina Engr. Lem at Engr. Olivia?”

I almost choke on the water and faced Francis who looks so puzzled on everything. I never spoke a word about the two since we started.

“Cut it out Franc, it's not funny. ” I blurted out and accepted tissues from him.

“I'm noy trying to be funny Desiree, I'm just asking.” He grinned as I rolled my eyes at him. He just chuckles at me and even bump my arms slightly. I smiled at him and shooked my head.

“You two look close.” My smile dissappeared hearing her voice.

I looked up and saw them coming to the tent. Lem didn:t gave me a glimpse.

“Yeah, we're cool. Something wrong with our friendship?” I asked.

She just smirked and raised a brow at me.

“No. It's just you two look good together.” She smiled and passed beside me, but before continuing she stopped just right behind me and lean over to my ear-level.

“Don't even think about it. By the way, I missed ya.” whispering she chuckled at the end, I want to pull her hair out but I just let it go. She's not worth it.

“I'd like you to watch me then.” Nilakasan ko talaga para marinig nya ng husto n kinatigil nito sa paglalakad niya. I even grinned when I noticed she balled her fist.

That's right. You started the fire, I'll add fuel to it. Let's see kung hanggang kailan abot yang laro mo.

We acted as professionals in work as I willingly cooperated with them with the planning, I even suggested some and ofcourse his eyes is on me. I missed those stares.

“Kung di lang siguro tayo nas trabaho sasabihin ko'ng type ka ni Mr. Exor.” napabaling ang tingin ko kay Francis habang nagmamaneho ito pabalik s kompanya.

Inside of me is rejoicing of what he said.

“Kanina pa nakatitig sa atin yun eh, syempre iisipin ko ikaw ang tinitingnan niya. Alangan naman sa akin, hindi naman bakla si Lem Exor diba?” I glared at him as he laughed.

“Chill muna tayo, libre ko.” I accepted Francis' offer as we stopped by a near café from the office.

And how lucky it is, Telle messaged me na cancel ang klase nila dahil sa biglaang importante'ng meeting ng mga staff ng university nila dahil sa pagdating umano ng may ari.

So I invited her over, she's so giddy as always at nakabuntot sa kanya ang mga kaibigan nito na pinakilala niya sa akin.

What surprise me is JD, akala ko nasa New Zealand to'ng batang to?

“Ateeeeeee!” I smiled at them, tsaka naman napatingin si Francis sa kanila.

Typical group of young girls.

“Ay pogi.” Shanon commented, and as of cue ngumisi ng pagkalaki si Francis. This guy, seriously.

“Akala ko nasa New Zealand ka?” I asked JD as I gave her a hug. She just smiled at me and took her seat beside Telle and Lara.

“Bakasyon lang Ate, dalawang araw. Namiss ko kaagad sila eh.” I smiled warmly at them.

This friendship is so pure.

Sana nagkaroon din ako ng mga gnitong kaibigan noon.

“Awtsuuu. Answit swit telege ni Jidi.” Telle giggled as I raised my brow at her as she simply took my coffee.

“By the way, this is Engr. Francis, my colleague.”

“Talaga lang baaaaa?” Telle exclaimed as her friends joined her. Nakita kong tumawa si Francis tsaka tumingin sa akin, kaya ngumiwi lang ako.

“Pasensyahan mo na, ganyan talaga mga yan.” Sabi ko. Tatawa tawa parin siya habang tunatango tsaka ko nkita si Ivy at Chelsea na pabalik ng table namin. Sila na ang nagkusang umorder dahil narin sa katamaran ng iba nilang kaibigan na tumayo.

“Teka ano'ng nangyayari, hindi kami kasali!” Ivy stated as she pushed Shanon to give her space to sit.

“I'm so sorry about those six.” Saad ko kay Francis habang pinapanuod ang anim na naunang maglakad papunta sa office ko.

“Nah, they're fun. I remember my youth. Ganyan din kami kaingay noon ngmga barkada ko eh.” I smiled athim as we continue to walk towards the elevator.

Pagkaharap ko sa pintuan ay nagulantang pa ako ng makitang nakasunod pala si Lem sa amin at sumabay sa elevator.

That automatically shut me off. Peropatuloy ang tawanan ng anim kasama si Francis kasama namin, habang di naman ako makaimik dahil sa presensya ni Lem na biglang sumulpot.

“I'm going to your Head Engineer's office.” Napatingin ako sa kanya at tumango lang.

Hindi manlang napansin ng mga kasama namin ang maliit na usapan namin hanggang sa makarating n kami sa floor level ng opisina namin.

Mas kumabog ang dibdib ko ng bigla akong akbayan ni Francis at hinila palabas. I can feel his stare following me, at hindi nga ako nagkamali, dahil sa malaking salamin sa harapan namin ay nakita ko ang titig ni Lemuel sa amin ni Francis.

Ang mokong naman walang kamuwang muwang at patuloy ang pakikipaghalakhakan sa mga kabataan na kasama namin habang nakaakbay sa akin.

“Shhh, 'wag tayo masyadong maingay. Baka maistorbo natin sila.” Francis told them as they entered my office. Still hammering in my chest, napalingon ako sa direksyon ng elevator at nakita'ng nakatayo parin siya doon at nakatitig sa akin. Napalunok ako at agad pumasok sa opisina ko.
