sorry if it wasn't what you were expecting. i was writing this in my 3am angsty vibes time aha
please do not ask for a part two or another ending for this.
i had to unpublished "useless" because everyone was asking for a part two even though i've clearly stated twice that i'm not making an ending for it.

katsuki was so confused to who the hell had the audacity to confess her feelings to someone like him. it was able to caught him off guard though but his mind otherwise thought differently.

"another damn extra.."

he looked at the female's face, he didn't even know who she was. possibly someone from his class? he was too busy of a narcissist to notice an dumb extra. he laughed at her, mocking her to be exact. he rejected her with words that he didn't know could impact her life. she knew she wasn't the prettiest or had the fanciest quirk, so she did saw this rejection coming. but she didn't expected to be that harsh.

he turn his back against her, walking away as he kept his head high. he grumbles, "stupid extra" that she heard it was directed to her clearly. he didn't feel an ounce of sympathy for the female. his pride and ego got in the way to return those "stupid feelings." he didn't care about those at the time.

so that's why when he saw his dunce friend with her, a new feeling rose upon his stomach. she definitely went for a new look, he thought. he didn't even recognise her for a second. the only thing that he was able to know that it was the same female he rejected in middle school was her voice. he noticed that she was in the department of support and immediately scoffed.

"lame. she didn't made the cut for the hero department."

he took another glance at her. it seems the two didn't notice his presence. she had giggle along what denki had said, maybe a dumb pick-up line since he knew what dunce face likes to do best. when he heard her giggle, his heart slowly to accelerate. the image of her smiling had crossed his thoughts, making him sweaty. his sweat caused release a few small explosions from his hand. he cussed in a mind, his cover fully blown. he quickly steps foot into the workshop room, clearing his throat in an awkward manner. now 2 pairs of eyes were upon him.

"i—um.. there's something wrong with my gauntlet.." he mutters. he catched her eyebrow raising. she sighs and pursed her lips together as she walks up to him. she takes the heavy gauntlet off him. he immediately tensed up as his fingers brushed against hers. he couldn't help but blush at what soft fingers she has. her hum in thought was able to bring him back of his imagination.

"no scratches or anything. i'll see what's going on inside your gauntlet then. i'll see what i can do. you're free to leave now." the way she said it was so monotone. he couldn't help but wince inside. a stoic expression did not suit her. he wanted to see the smiling girl that his friend was able to get. he was about to say something but her back was already faced towards him.

oh, the irony. katsuki felt a pain stab through his chest.

"is that how she felt like in middle school?"

he didn't realize he was frowning in a sad way until he scoffed, walking away as denki follows after him. denki just blabbered on about something. he wasn't paying attention. his hands clenched tightly around the fabric of his pockets, getting more irritated than usual. a sudden urge rushed through him, causing him to turn around to face his friend.

"do you like her?" katsuki said in a low volume. this obviously caught denki off guard. he became quiet, lips forming a sad frown as he looked at his friend. he knew what the ash-blonde did to his female friend in middle school. she told him. it didn't make him hate his friend though. but now, he felt pity for his friend.

"we've been together for nearly two months, bakugou.." denki said. if feelings could have taste, he could taste guilt that set on his tongue. kastuki stood there in silence as he could feel a weight piling on his shoulders as he played back the time he rejected her. he didn't know why he felt sad or have new feelings he hasn't experienced. feelings that he have only when she came up in his mind.

whatever it was, he knew he couldn't turn back time to change the past.

he was too late.
