Tatiana's Night

Tatiana watched Kylie and Michelle go their separate ways as she walked to the drinking table. She wasn't much of a alcohol kind of girl, but a juice kind. She took a cup of hot cider and walked towards a chair and sat down. She sipped her cider and watched Men and Women dance and watched kids play with each other. She looked over seeing Michelle talk to a tall french man. She smiled to herself knowing that Michelle was finally opening up to someone and making friends. She was always supportive and protective over her younger bestfriends.

She got up and walked to a server and put the empty glass on his tray and turned around. Champagne. Bubbly Champagne. All over Tatiana's champagne pink dress.

"Oh my Lord, I am so sorry," a freckled curly guy apologized grabbing napkins and putting his glass down.

"Oh it's fine, a little champagne never hurt anyone," She chuckled.

"No it's not," he said face palming.

"Why is that, you're not the one covered in champagne," Tatiana said with confusion.

" I should've noticed a beauty such as yourself like a mile away," He smiled. Tatiana shook her head blushing and giggling.

"I see you're reliable with the ladies," Tatiana looked up with a huge grin.

"I mean I got moves if you wanna see them," he smirked at her looking up and down.

" Well lucky for you so do I," Tati winked.

They both laughed.

"Hey do you want to come dance with me, I didn't have a date tonight and you look like the perfect fit for that," He asked her.

"Of course I will, I mean I got nothing else to do," Tatiana said taking his hand.

"My name is John Laurens by the way, but I can give you something to do," He did a up down eyebrow movement.

"Nice to meet you John, you can call me Tatiana, and ewwww," She scrunched her nose up in disgust.

They walked to a less busy area of the dance floor and danced the night away. They went from dance battles to waltz to playing around with the kids.

"And then he goes my dog speaks more eloquently than thee to the loyalist," Laurens laughed.

"No he didn't, wait so that was the dude who we saw two weeks ago arguing with that loyalist," Anna asked.

"Yeah, wait you were there?,"John asked.

"Yeah, my friend Kylie said that your friend was cute,"she laughed.

"Oh Alexander, he's also reliable with the ladies," He stated and winked.

"Oh is he really, maybe I should go hang with him instead," Tatiana joked. Laurens put his hand on his chest in mockery of pain.

" How dare you," He gasped.

"I'm playing, chill out I'm not leaving my best bud behind,"Tati playfully elbowed John.

"Hey, it's getting late, do you want me to walk you to your carriage," John offered.

She nodded and wrapped her arm around his arm and let him lead the way. As Tatiana waited for her two best friends to meet her, John stayed by her side.

"Hey before you go I just wanted to say I had a lot of fun with you tonight and I would like to get to know you and maybe meet up again after the war,"John said as he took Anna's hands into his.

She looked deeply into his eyes and looked down and blushed.

"That would be nice, I would like that John," she smiled and hugged him.

As She hugged him, he hugged back taking in her body and scent and everything about her as if he would never see her again.

"Goodbye my friend," He let go and kissed her hand and walked away, looking back for one last look as he entered the ballroom searching for his friends.

Tatiana got into her carriage with Michelle and Kylie. The adventures that would be led on after that night had yet to come.
