"Are you sure you will be fine with them?," Tatiana asked John. They stood at the door with John holding Michelle as their two eldest were playing.
"Yes, go treat yourself baby," John smiled and kissed Tatiana.
"Honey I'm getting food, and necessities for our family,"Tatiana smiled.
"I know but do something for yourself while you're at it," John sighed holding her hand.
"Okay, fine," Tatiana gave in.
"Don't worry honey I got this," John let her out and shut the door behind her.
"He's got this," Tatiana told herself and nodded her head and walked away.
Kylie prepared breakfast and watched her husband talk to Washington. He had come over earlier that morning to visit Alexander. Kylie checked on Philip and Angelica to find them both out cold. She grinned at the doorway, like any proud loving mother would do seeing her children at peace. But Kylie wasn't prepared to face that one room, with that someone in there. She knew she would eventually have to rip the band-aid off sooner or later.
" Might as well get this over with," She walked to the room slowly. As she raised her hand to reach the doorknob, she froze right there, her hand millimeters away from the doorknob.
"You can do this Kylie," Kylie's mouth went dry as she slowly breathed in and out. She opened the door to find her older sister asleep peacefully. She walked closer and closer until her standing body could look over Maria. Maria wore her signature color "Red". Kylie thought it always fit Maria.
"Draw a portrait, it'll last longer," Maria yawned and rolled over facing her little sister. Kylie rolled her eyes, there it was, that sisterly bond.
"That was never in my field of talents," Kylie groaned and turned away from her sister and walked towards the door.
"Kylie wait," Maria sat up, Kylie stopped in her tracks at the doorway with tears ready to flow.
"I didn't just come here to get away from my husband for the night,"Maria said softly. Kylie stayed silent, she didn't move, she stood there not facing her sister.
"I know the last time you saw me, we didn't leave on good terms. I came here to say I'm sorry. I just want my little sister back. I want my bestfriend back. The only reason I could get away from him back," Maria began to cry fiddling with the blanket covering her body.
"I um I also wanted to let you know that I'm pregnant," Maria forced the words out. Kylie let out a sob and turned around and ran to her sister and hugged her tight.
"Paps, " Phlip tugged at Hamilton's jacket in the living room.
"Hey Philip, what's the problem bud?,"Alex picked up his son and sat him on his lap as Washington watched intensely and entertained.
"How come mommy and Auntie Maria are crying together?," Philip whispered to Alex. Alex's smile changed to a gentle sad smile.
"Mommy and Aunt Maria, they're siblings just like you and Angelica, sometimes siblings fight each other, in verbal ways. And they both are apologizing for their fight. So no matter how many times you argue with your loved ones you'll always love them in the end," Alex explained.
" Ah so is that why also argue with Mommy in the bedroom a lot and then make up later?," Philip asked innocently. Washington looked away with his eyes wide.
"Even though it sounds like you guys are still screaming but in a good way," Philip noted.
" Uh...," Alex thought to himself where the hell is my wife.
"Is Angelica still asleep?," Alex asked, setting down Philip and went to check on Angelica.
"Hi Washington," Philip ran over to him.
"Oh you're getting big son," George groaned as he picked up Philip.
" Michelle, have you seen the cheese?," Lafayette asked, turning to face his wife.
"Up in the left corner," Michelle said writing.
"You know you still look beautiful at 4 months pregnant," Lafayette smiled.
"Shut up," Michelle smiled and shook her head.
"It's true, you know I still can't believe Tatiana named her baby girl after you, such a great friend you have," Lafayette finished making his lunch.
"I know it gets me emotional every time," Michelle whimpered.
"I also have news, I got information that we can leave France and go back to America in 2 years instead of 5 now," Lafayette said sitting down at the table across from his wife.
"Really?!," Michelle said excitedly.
"Oui, I talked to some people and was able to pull some strings," Lafayette went to take and bite but before he could his wife walked over to him and kissed him.
''Thank you Laf, that's the best news I heard all week," Michelle smiled .
