The Glitch in Reality [Bnha OC insert]

Chapter 9

"AMETHYST! YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE!" Ethan slammed my door open and yelled in my face.
"What time is it." I yawned and sat up.
"It's late! That's all you need to know, now get your ass in gear and get to school!"

I jumped out of bed and threw some clothes on then ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
"Why don't you just use your quirk?" Ethan asked as I spat the toothpaste out and put my toothbrush away.
"Oh yeah." I snapped my fingers and everything 'paused'. "Finally, I can relax." Once I was ready, I grabbed my lantern and walked to UA since it was only a few blocks away.

As I walked, I observed the people around me, frozen in time. There was a woman drinking coffee on her way to work, a guy in a worn out coat reading a news paper, and a few kids playing a game in the park across the street. They were all faced towards the road. I looked at the road and saw a small kid, maybe 5 years old, running into the street after a ball. Their short black hair was frozen in time from the wind and my quirk. My eyes widened when I saw that a big delivery truck was about to hit the kid.

Calmly walking over, I grabbed the kid and the ball and pulled them back to the sidewalk, placing the ball in the kid's hands. I was about to walk away before I realized that I should scold the kid for running into the road. The kid might do it again. I snapped my fingers and everything came back to life. The kid looked around, confused.
"WOW! DID YOU SEE THAT!?" Another kid who was watching shouted.
"You can't just run into the road like that kid, you could've gotten hurt or even-" suddenly as I was scolding the child, a relieved mom scooped up the kid.

"Thank you so much! I saw my little boy run into the road and I was too far away to do anything. It scared me so much. I can't thank you enough." The mom sobbed.
"Hey, no need to cry. He's safe now, it's okay." I tried to comfort.
"What's your name, hero?" The kid asked me.
"..Hero?" I asked.
"Yeah, you saved me didn't you? You're a hero, so what's your name?"

"My... hero name..." I thought to myself for a second before saying, "I'm Chara."
"Thanks Chara! I'm gonna tell all my friends about my new favorite hero!" The kid yelled excitedly and ran off. The mom looked at me and smiled.
"May I ask what are the origins of your name? I'm just a bit curious..." She asked.
"It's got a double meaning. 1: it has to do with my quirk; it's a shortened version of "Character". And 2: it's a name from... something special to me." I said, not wanting to Glitch from mentioning Undertale again.

I looked at the time on my phone.
"Crap, I need to go. Sorry, bye!" I said before pausing and continuing to walk to UA.

Once I was in class, I sat down and un-paused. As soon as time continued the bell rang.
"Just in time." I said to myself.
"Oh hey Amethyst. I didn't think you'd be here today." Mina said to me.
"I HAVE COME THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE NORMAL!" All Might yelled as he rushed through the door and into the class. "Hero basic training! The class that'll put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into heroes. No time to dally. Today's activity is this," All Might pulled out a large card that read 'Battle' on it, "BATTLE TRAINING!! And for that, you need these!" All Might shouted.

Bins of hero costumes came out of the wall. Each with a different number. Everyone got up and grabbed their costumes and headed to the change rooms. Once I was in the change room I opened my case. Inside was my costume, it was exactly how I asked it to look.

As I put it on Mina spoke to me; "Isn't your costume a bit plain?"
"Well my quirk isn't that flashy and I want to be able to sneak around." I explained as I tied theL pants up to make it a skirt. I tied my hair up into pigtails with bows and, once I was done changing, walked out.

When the last person went out of the change room, All Might explained the exercise and started to draw lots.

Teams:
A- Uraraka and Midoriya
B- Todoroki and Shoji
C- Yaoyorozu and Mineta
D- Ida and Bakugo
E- Aoyama and Mina
F- Sato and Kaminari
G- Jirou and Amethyst
H- Tsuyu and Tokoyami
I- Hagakure and Ojiro
J- Kirishima and Sero

"Moving on. First up are these!" All Might took two balls out of the boxes. One said A and one said D. Everyone but those teams walked into an observation room. Knowing what happens, I decided to sit down and zone out.

"Amethyst... AMETHYST!" Mina yelled. I jumped from the sudden loud noise.
"Heheh, sorry I zoned out." I apologized.
"It's fine, you're up next." She told me. Jirou waved to me to follow her. So I did.

"We're the heroes, we're up against Yaoyorozu and... ugh, Mineta." Jirou explained as we walked to the building.
"Ew." I shivered at the thought of that disgusting purple gremlin.

"I have a plan by the way." I told Jirou.
"Let's hear it." She replied.
"You use your quirk to locate them and the bomb, then I can use my quirk to 'pause time' and touch the bomb without them noticing." I explained.
"Alright. Let's do this." She said as we walked into the building.
