Chapter 22

"Ethan..." I said weakly as I let the tears flow. He smiled to me.
"I'm okay. Don't worry." He told me with a quiet voice.
"What happened?" I asked as I wiped the tears off my face.
"I-... I don't remember. More importantly, did anything happen to you?"
"No. I'm fine. I'm staying with a friend right now."

"Good. Did you take Spencer?"
"Yeah, and a kitten I found."
"You found a kitten?"
"Yes."

A doctor walked into the room with some papers. She put the papers down and got something ready.
"You should probably leave now, little girl. I need to give Ethan something and it's just gonna make him sleep for a while." The doctor said.
"Oh, okay. See ya later Ethan." I said as I walked out. Something seemed off, but regardless I walked out.

By routine, I walked to Ethan's house... I walked home. There was police tape surrounding the house, but I decided to walk in anyways. The house was quiet, and empty. There was dust everywhere. Everything seemed normal... except for my room. The sheets were messed up and there were a few pictures of me, crumpled on the bed.

"What the fuck..." I pulled back the blanket and a single knife was under it. Home didn't feel so safe anymore. I started to run, I wasn't sure where to, I just ran. I found myself back at Yaoyorozu's house.

"You alright Amethyst?" Yaoyorozu asked me as I ran towards my room. I held back tears as I nodded.
"Yeah, just a bit spooked." I told her as I walked into my temporary room and cuddled the kitten.

Everyday after school for the next few weeks I visited Ethan. Yaoyorozu said I should be studying but I figured I don't need to study 24/7. Either way, on the day of the exam I couldn't focus. Something didn't feel right. Regardless to how I felt, I finished the written test and made my way to the practical.

"Amethyst, Bakugo, and Midoriya. You three will be on a team. You will be against All Might." Mr Aizawa told us.
"Wouldn't that leave an odd number?" Midoriya asked.
"Yes, Jirou will be in a group of three with Yaoyorozu and Todoroki against me." Aizawa explained.

"Alright. Amethyst, Bakugo, Midoriya. You three are first." All Might said. We nodded and made our way to the fake city.

"Bakugo, Midoriya. We need a plan. And Bakugo here's a reminder that I don't give a fuck if you have shit with Midoriya. Our main goal is to pass. So now bull shit, both of you." I told them with a stern voice.
"Just shut up glitch bitch, I'm not working with him. We will fight him head on. I NEVER BACK DOWN!" Bakugo argued.
"No, you do that I'll pull you both outta the gate by myself with my quirk and I will be the only one passing. So let's make a pl-"

A rush of strong wind, from All Might, pushed us all over.
"He's found us." I said out loud.
"No shit." Bakugo said.
"We need to run, he's too strong!" Midoriya panicked. He turned away and Bakugo was about to run before I grabbed them both and pulled them back.
"We need a plan." I told them and snapped my fingers, dragging them away and into an alley.

I snapped my fingers again and they both looked at me confused.
"Plan." I said.
"Right. I think we should run, he's too powerful." Midoriya suggested.
"Hell no. Heroes never run!" Bakugo argued.
"Both of you have ideas, good. Let's do both if you wanna pass." I comprised.
"Tch, whatever." Bakugo said.
"That's... a good idea!" Midoriya said.
"Listen up, I'm only gonna say this once." Bakugo explained his plan then we put it in action.

As All Might walked by, I jumped in front of him, distracting him from Bakugo who had jumped behind. Just as Bakugo was about to use his quirk, I snapped my fingers, got out of the way, then snapped my fingers again.

"NOW DEKU!" Bakugo yelled with a conflicted look on his face. Deku shot Bakugo's gauntlet at All Might, then we started to run.
"We're nearly there!" Midoriya shouted as we got close to the exit. "Doesn't look like All Might's following us. Maybe we did knock him out."
"Bullshit. As if a wimp like you could knock him out. If he comes around again he'll get a taste of my gauntlet." Bakugo said.

"And then what?" All Might came zooming towards us and before I had any time to react he slammed me into the ground and smashed Bakugo's gauntlet.
"Fuck, that hurts!" My whole body hurt and my fingers were scratched up so I couldn't activate my quirk. I couldn't get up or even move. All I could do was watch as All Might grabbed the two boys and beat them up. My vision started to blur and I felt blood drip down my face.

"N-No.... don't give.... up." I said, barely. With a final effort, I snapped my fingers, regardless of the pain and grabbed my weapon. I used it to help me up. Everything hurt but it didn't matter anymore. I was glitching like hell but I refused to give up.

Somehow I staggered over to Bakugo and Midoriya and pushed them out of All Might's grip. As I de-activated my quirk, I fell to the ground.
"P-Plus..... Ultra....." I said before I blacked out.

When I woke up I had a pounding headache. I was in the school infirmary. My phone kept buzzing. I picked it up and it was all messages from my class mates.

Kirishima: Are you okay?
Yaoyorozu: I saw what happened, is everything alright?
Mina: You doing okay
Kaminari: I heard about what happened, he was a good guy.
Uraraka: You alright? I'm here if you need anything

"What happened?" I wondered as I opened the messages app. There was one more message.
