Chapter 19

On Monday everyone headed to their internships. Mine only took a half hour train ride to get there.

The agency I was with for the week was in a grey building the size of about 2 regular sized houses. It said 'Reflection Agency' on a sign on the front of the building. Someone with long wavy black hair who I realized was the pro hero Reflection, was waiting for me outside. I walked up to them and introduced myself.
"Hi, I'm Amethyst Ametrine. My hero name is Chara. Nice to meet you." I said to them.
"As you know I'm Reflection, but you can call me Robin." They told me. "Now let's head inside." I followed them in.

"Today will just be a relaxing day, so I'll show you your room and you can get used to everything." Robin explained as I followed them up some stairs. We entered a small room which had a bed in the corner, a window facing the city, a tv, and a mini fridge.

"Wow! There's a mini fridge!?" I said, too focused on the mini fridge.
"I knew someone else would appreciate it! Oh, yeah, this is your room." Robin told me.
"Dinner will be at 6:00, so until then you can do whatever. I'll be downstairs, and feel free to ask any questions." Robin explained before they shut the door and went back downstairs.

At 6:00 I headed downstairs for dinner.
"What will we do tomorrow?" I asked as I took a bite of food.
"Tomorrow you will train with me." Robin said with a mouthful of food.
"Alright." I replied and continued to eat my food.

After dinner I washed the dishes then head up to my room. I had 3 notifications. Himiko had texted me. I unlocked my phone and went onto the messages app.

Himi: Hi Amy
Himi: How's your internship
Himi: ?
Me: It's alright
Me: I miss Ethan and Spencer, on monday nights Ethan and I always watch a movie to make mondays bearable
Himi: Who's Spencer
Me: Ethan's dog

There was another notification

Me: Actually hang on, I'm getting a call from Ethan
Himi: Ok

I picked up the phone and immediately heard Ethan's voice.
"Amethyst are you okay? I wanna make sure you made it there okay."
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Robin is really nice. They made a delicious dinner and tomorrow we are going to train." I explained.
"Good."
"What did you do today?" I asked, trying to keep the conversation going.
"Funny thing happened actually. I was chasing down this villain that had robbed some lady, and he hit me with his quirk. Now my quirk won't work."

"Wait, WHAT!? Did you see a doctor or something!?" I yelled, very concerned. It reminded me of a certain blonde hair, blue eyed person from UA in the overhaul arc. I assumed I was glitching.
"Yeah, it's temporary, don't worry." He told me. I sighed in relief.
"Okay, good. You had me worried for a second there."
"Sorry about that. I better let you go. Nice talking to you anyways."
"Alright, bye Ethan."
"Bye."

I pressed end call and went back to the messages app.

Himi: What was he calling for
Me: He wanted to see how I was, also he temporarily lost his quirk
Himi: ouch
Me: Yeah, I doubt he's gonna do any hero work for a while
Himi: Ugh, hand guy just looked at my phone and is teasing me
Himi: I'm gonna kill him
Me: No
Me: Don't kill
Himi: Stab?
Me: No!
Himi: You're no fun
Me: No, I'm just a hero

Our conversation seemed to go on forever.

Himi: I gotta go
Himi: The league is doing something apparently
Himi: Tell a pro and I'll kill you
Me: Alright
Me: Bye
Himi: Bye

I checked the time and it read 11:37pm. We had talked for quite a while. I put my phone down and eventually fell asleep.

"AMETHYST! WAKE UP! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!" Robin burst through the door and shouted. I rubbed my eyes as Robin ripped the sheets off of me and threw my bag of clothes.
"Woah, what's happening?" I asked with a yawn.
"THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! GET READY AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND MEET ME AT THE DOOR!" They yelled. I scrambled out of bed and got changed once Robin was out.

"What happened!?" I asked Robin as we walked out.
"You see that restaurant over there?" They pointed at a restaurant across the street that had a crowd of people around it.
"Was it a villain attack?"
"No... Today the restaurant..." Robin paused and looked at the sky. This seemed serious.

"The restaurant is giving out free waffles!" Robin said with a big smile on their face.
"Oh. Really!?" I said excitedly.
"Yeah! Only till 10, so let's hurry and get those waffles!"

After a good breakfast of waffles and fruit, we changed into our hero costumes and went to Robin's training room.

"Alright Amethyst. We will have a 1 on 1 fight, with the same rules as the sports festival." Robin explained to me.
"Okay." I grabbed my weapon.

Robin put their hands out and a rose colored light projected onto the ground, creating a mirrored version of me in a few seconds.
"Find the weakness within yourself, for then you may grow stronger." Robin said as their eyes turned the same rose color and they disappeared into nothing.

"R-Robin? Where did you-" the copy of me suddenly appeared behind me and kick my legs from under.
"Pay attention to the target." My copy spoke as it changed the copy weapon to a spear and threw it at me. I quickly rolled out of the way and snapped my fingers.

"You rely on your quirk too much." The copy said as it ran towards me and pushed me, pinning me down. "Pathetic." The copy's pole came flying down and hit me... hard.

"This is gonna be hell." I thought to myself as the training continued.

Robin is kinda based off of the fusion Stevonnie from Steven Universe. Their Quirk is Mirror and they can mirror pretty much anything; people, animals, and even objects/surroundings. There is a limit to how many things they can mirror though.
