There was exactly a week left until the entrance exam to get into UA. I had been training for so long with Ethan, and I had improved a lot. I had improved on how quickly I can activate my quirk and also fighting with support items. Ethan even got a weapon custom made for me.

It starts off as just a metal pole, but it can change into a spear, axe type weapon, or a sword, if the correct buttons are pressed. Work at the ice cream shop has gone pretty good too. Me and Himi are pretty good friends now, even if we only see each other at work. For the last week of training, we are focusing on training my quirk. As soon as I woke up the training began.

There was a note on the kitchen table that Ethan had left. It said:

"Amethyst, for today we will start off with our
regular training; "hide and seek tag".
But we will only do that for an hour.
Once the regular training is done we will focus on
your quirk only. Anyways, if you don't find me
in and hour or less, your training tomorrow will be
hell and you won't have wifi for the rest of the week."

"No wifi?! ETHAN WHERE ARE YOU!?" I yelled. I was not gonna give up wifi for a week.

After looking for about 50 minutes I was starting to panic, I only had 10 minutes left to find Ethan. He had a great quirk to hide, which made it very difficult for me to find him. Regardless, I kept looking. 5 minutes passed and there was still no sign of Ethan. At this point I was giving up, so I decided to walk back home.

As I walked through the front door I saw Ethan sitting on the table eating a bag of chips.
"Ethan! You fucking cheater! You said inside the house was off limits!" I yelled as I stormed towards him.
"Shit." He said as he started to scramble off the table. I ran towards him and quickly grabbed my weapon from my inventory and knocked him over with the metal pole. I checked my phone, I still had one minute to spare.
"Okay. I guess we'll start the next training?" Ethan said.
"Okay." I replied as we both walked to the backyard.

"So I've been thinking, what happens if you walk outside the lit up area while your quirk is activated?" Ethan asked me.
"I'm not sure, I haven't tried." I replied.
"Well that's our first bit of training. If anything bad happens then just deactivate your quirk."
"Okay. I'll try."

I snapped my fingers on my right hand, and everything around me went dark. The "menu" popped up in front of me.
"Here goes nothing." I said to myself as I attempted to walk into the darkness. It got darker with every step I took. I snapped my right fingers again, and everything came back to life. I had walked about 5 steps to my left.

"Wow! You just glitched over there!" Ethan told me excitedly. I stood in thought for a second, before speaking. "What if I snap my left fingers while I'm already "paused"." I asked.
"Let's find out." Ethan replied. I nodded and snapped my right fingers, everything went dark.

I snapped my left fingers and a bright light started shining on my hand. It was like the palm of my hand was a flashlight... which it wasn't, it just seemed like it. As I moved my hand around the light kept shining on different things. I could actually see when I left the "menu" area. I walked around for about a minute, and I started to feel tired. I decided to go back.

"So what happened? Anything?" Ethan asked.
"A light on my palm appeared. It's gone now though. But it helped me see when I left the main area." I explained. "It made me pretty tired for some reason though." I added.
"Maybe you used it too much... Check your "stats"." Ethan suggested.
"Good idea." I snapped my right fingers, and sure enough the "quirk usage" bar was over half way up. I snapped my right fingers again.

"My "quirk usage" bar is over half way up." I explained.
"Whatever that light was, it used up slot of your quirk, I'd guess." Ethan commented. I nodded in agreement.
"Anyways, now we should do some 1 on 1 combat training now the call it a day." Ethan told me.
"Okay. Don't hold back!" I told him as our combat training began.

At about 3:50pm that day I walked to the ice cream shop to work.
"Hi Amy~!" Himi greeted me.
"Hi." I said back.
"Your entrance exam for UA is this week, isn't it?"
"Yep. I'm nervous. I hope I get in."
"I hope so too. I can't wait to hear about all the stuff that happens at UA."
"Yeah. Now let's get to scooping ice cream."

Once I got home, me and Ethan sat down and ate our dinner while watching some cartoons. It was a good way to relax. Even still I had lots of things going through my head.
"Is something wrong? You've been staring at your food for the past five minutes with an annoyed look on your face." Ethan asked me.
"Have I? Sorry, I've just got a lot on my mind right now, especially with the entrance exam coming up."
"You'll do great on the entrance exam. We've been doing a lot of training together so I definitely know." Ethan told me, I took a bite of my food.

"But what if I'm not good enough? What if all that training goes to waste? What if-"
"Hey, you'll do great. And if you don't, it doesn't matter. UA would have just rejected one of the best heroes of the future; you." Ethan explained. And with that, the cartoon came back onto the tv, and we continued to watch.
