Chapter 29

After talking to the police about what I had seen, they did an investigation and found out that the doctor that was taking care of Ethan before he died was actually the suspect of multiple murders. Her quirk allowed her to control the bodies of those who she killed, which is why she had the area in that basement.

A few weeks after everything had happened, we all moved into the dorms. The school allowed me to bring Spencer and the kitten with me, which was nice. The only problem with the dorms was that it's harder to see Himiko.

One night however, when I was trying to sleep, I heard a quiet knock on the window. I decided to ignore it and try to sleep again. The knocking got louder and I got up. Pushing the curtains back I was met with Himimo's face. I stumbled back in shock.
"H-Himiko?" I said as I got up and opened the window. She immediately jumped into my arms, giving me a big hug.
"How did you get in without setting the alarms off?" I asked.
"I have my ways." She replied.

She was wearing something more casual than her villain costume, she had put on a pastel pink hoodie that had a small bunny on it, with a plain black skirt. Her hair was down, and a bit messy. We went over to my bed and sat down, I admired her eyes that glistened in the moonlight.

"I have an idea." I told her. I grabbed her hand and we jumped out the window, landing on the grass below. I was on one of the lower levels so it didn't hurt.
"Come on." I told her excitedly as we ran towards the nearby park. Once we got there, I grabbed a blanket from my inventory, and wrapped it around us as we sat down.

"I love you." She told me and looked me in the eyes.
"I love you too." I replied and pressed my lips against hers. The kiss was sweet, yet filled with passion, as if this was the last time we would see each other. I felt her tears fall, she was crying. Even still we kissed for what felt like forever. When we pulled away, I wiped the tears off her face and wrapped my arms around her.

"You okay?" I mumbled into her ear.
"I-.... I nearly lost you to those idiots. I just wanted to kill them right then and there." Her hands closed into fists as I rubber her back.
"It's okay, I'm here now, right? I'm not leaving anytime soon."
"That's what I'm afraid of. You're a hero, I'm a villain. You'll leave me soon enough."
"No. I won't. I promise."

I put my hand up that had the promise ring on it.
"I promise you Himiko, I'll always be here with you." I promised her. She hugged me tighter. That night we watched the stars and fell asleep in the grass.

I was so happy. Even after all that had happened. I wanted to spend my life with her. She was my everything. I loved her so much. And the promise I made to her was one to keep.
