The next two weeks were welcoming for Hayato. The two had made a routine and moved in sync within the kitchen every morning. He learned that she loved Rosehip tea when he made her that cup the first night she stayed in his home and to get lots of honey. Why so much honey well because she made honey apple pancakes one morning and Hayato was smitten not only with her but the pancakes! He didn't want to fight it now. He was smitten by her. Wether she noticed or not was debatable.

He would offer movie nights and every time Miyu would fall asleep against him and his heart would lose all sensible rhythm as he would have to pick her up and carry her to the guest bedroom. He would be blushing wildly as she snuggled into his chest. He learned one thing is that she's very clingy when she was asleep. Her arms refused to unlock from around his neck or his shirt. More than once he caught her muttering, "So warm..." before Muffin helped him out by being the space heater for him so she'd let him go.

The leads on the Japanese Ripper were slow going as the police cautiously questioned everyone at the medical campus and every tip and new investigation Miyu found.

She was an artist too and sketched Muffin countless times. Hayato found her drawing him more than once when she thought he wasn't looking.

Friday morning...

She was reading a book about Criminal Science because he felt that she could join the police department after clearing her name in court once it comes down to it. She was hesitant about the inevitable court hearing for her own criminal case, but Hayato said that her helping the police capture the Japanese Ripper was going to be her greatest ally in the case, so her chances were good.

She was taken by the idea of using her knowledge to help the police and with Hayato's help she applied for the online college level classes that were affordable for him to pay. She was really against it when he said he'd pay for it but he convinced her that he'd take it with her to help her unravel the case and to help him get his mojo back in criminal science.

He was smirking softly now as she marked the page in her book and looked out the window. He casually took a photograph of her without the flash. She was gazing out the window on his little reading bench beside the bookcase. He blinked and frowned over the picture. She was smiling softly but her eyes looked sad. He looked up at her and sighed as he realized why she was so sad.

She turned to him. "You sighed, what's wrong?"

"Me...I'm what's wrong. I'm keeping you here like a prisoner. You can't even go outside..."

"Hayato..."

"No it's not fair to you. He didn't see you. If he puts anything together then he only knows what you look like from the image of you in your thief's outfit in the tabloids. He doesn't know the color of you hair is, or the way you smile over Muffin whenever she gets into the catnip, he only knows the color of your eyes. I'm taking you outside."

Miyu blushed. "Hayato...is this your way of asking me on a date?"

He blanked. "Uhhhh..."

She gave him that captivating smile of hers that sent his heart up into his throat.

"I'd love to Hayato."

"G-Great! A-Around 12:00?"

She giggled. "Hayato, I'm staying here remember, we can leave whenever you want."

He laughed softly before speaking. "Sorry... I'm not really sure what to do anymore now? It's all so familiar yet so strange?"

She stood up and walked over with a warm smile on her lips before kissing his cheek. "Just stop thinking that your making a fool of yourself, because your not. I'd love for this to be a date you big dunce."
