Chapter 262: "Honey I'm Home!"

Hitoshi's jaw dropped over what he read next.

Miyu woke up to someone softly stroking her hair and saying her name. Her red eyes opened to see Hayato on his side looking at her. A soft smile graces his lips when he saw that she was looking back at him. His shoulder length hair had come undone, the hair tie was somewhere in the room. His hair was draping across his face, and bare shoulders. Another good night of sleep had made his eyes look, almost, energetic, for the first time that she has seen.

"I have work today Miyu, a big tip came up integrating the staff members of the campus, but I didn't want you to wake up to an empty bed," he says as he starts to sit up, revealing more of the muscular body she had appreciated the night before. And confirming that yes, that was not a dream.

"Wait what tip?"

"The tip that a former teacher had been fired for aggressive behavior and disturbing fascinations with the dissecting of human body's."

"Okay..."

He kissed her lips softly before speaking. "I'm going to go make us breakfast. Come join me when you're ready, alright?"

To Miyu's displeasure, Hayato took his hand out of her hair and gets up from the bed. She blushed and turn up to look at the ceiling, feeling she should give him a bit of privacy-at least that's what she told herself. She looked back and he's put on a typical outfit, a black collared sweater and same color jeans, and his hero accessories, a loop string of Kunai's including his grey pocketed utility belt and the yellow goggles he grabbed off of the dresser and had shoved in his pocket. He opens the door and smiles without any ounce of his usual smirk or boredom.

"Things are finally adding up Miyu...hopefully it won't be long now."

And then she was alone with her thoughts and the scent of breakfast cooking.

Her stomach growling shook her from her trance. They had both skipped dinner and gone to bed early last night. She smiled softly and headed towards the shower.

After breakfast came a long goodbye kiss. Hayato pulled away caressing her jawline before kissing her lips softly whispering.

"You know the drill. I'll be home later today."

Miyu was reading a book that she had seen Hayato reading earlier-it was a light mystery novel that was actually pretty good. She just got the suspenseful part when...

*DING*

*The doorbell? Hayato always uses his keys. I don't even think I've even heard the doorbell before... And it's a little early for him to be home.*

Miyu got up to open the door, figuring maybe he had just forgotten his keys, after all of the excitement of last night. But Muffin looked wary. Miyu jumped when she heard the lock turning and the door opens. A sickeningly sweet feminine voice spoke up.

"Honey, I'm back! How much did you miss me!?"

*Honey...*

Miyu stepped out from the living room and noticed the woman's long blond. The second thing was the cobalt blue eyes and dress. Miyu quickly noticed they were both the exact same height, same figure.

But the similarities ended there. The blond haired woman had a snarl on her face and her arms crossed. Muffin gave an unfriendly hiss at the woman and Miyu didn't know what to do.

"C-can I help you? Are you one of Hayato's friends? He's still at work on a big lead for a case but he should be back soon..."

The woman completely ignored her in favor of verbal confrontation.
