Chapter 244: "When are things ever simple for us?"

After the water gun war the students were laughing over their defeat by the hands of the Ninja Military and of Eri riding on Kirishima's shoulders. They were glad to see her having so much fun.

Hizashi was laughing and rested a hand on Shota's shoulder. "I still can't believe you still had that water gun!"

"It's a good thing to have when your drunk on our doorstep like a hobo Hizashi remember that morning?"

"Wait...THAT WAS YOU!!! I THOUGHT I FELL ASLEEP ON A WAR FANATICS DOORSTEP! I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU BRO!!!!"

Akemi smiled as she washed the dishes as Shota laughed.

Eri handed her plate to her. "Here you go mommy."

"Thank you sweetie."

She continued washing the dishes until Shota joined her with a smirk as he bumped her hip and grabbed the drying rags.

"If only you had joined us my dear you looked like you were a little upset over me when I left with the maggots to war..."

"Yes...I had to clean the carpet your water gun soaked!"

He kissed her cheek. "Sorry."

Akemi rolled her eyes as she handed him a plate to dry. "You had fun drowning our students in that water gun war General Aizawa?"

"Maybe...Hitoshi was starting to concern me though...he's a little trigger happy."

Hitoshi spoke up as he grabbed a Nintendo switch game and four controllers. "So what if I play black ops and halo games during my free time..."

"I'd say you should add throwing knifes to your weaponry if you have a aim like that with a water gun."

Emiko froze him as he walked by her highchair and threw her sticky rice at him.

Akemi smirked. "You heard her Bakugo no yelling."

Shota chuckled and when the last dish was dried he turned around and leaned against the sink observing his students enjoying the rest of the afternoon. Hitoshi was playing the video game Supper Mario Kart. He was playing as Bowsers wild blue haired scientist kid. He was on a team with Bakugo who was playing as Bowser. Bakugo had major road rage within the game knocking everyone but Eri, who was playing as Queen Rosaline because she looked like Elsa, off the course. Asui who was playing as Yoshi, used the blue shell on Bakugo to knock him out of the running for second place. He turned and growled in anger as he had his kart speeding after hers.

"Do that again frog, I dare ya!"

Hitoshi shouted. "Hey Bakugo focus on the course!"

"Wha-!" He crashed right into Asui. Eri was now neck and neck with Hitoshi and at the last second Hitoshi saw a banana pile on the course and pretended to act like it came out of nowhere to let her win.

Shota smirked and suddenly looked down at Emiko staring at him with her little socks on and no shoes.

"Emiko...where are your shoes?"
