Hitoshi's Legacy Paper
Part 2
The encounter with Nyx

Hitoshi took a deep breath and exhaled. "This is the memoir account by Hayato one year later on the exact date of Asami's death day."

January 5th...memoir 125

Pro Hero: Erasure

Quirk: Cancellation

I was on call to a brutal crime. This was the fifteenth murder in fifteen weeks straight and I already knew it was the man I've been searching over three months to apprehend, and now it's the start of another year. Ever since his first string of murders ended in blood...I've been searching for any lead I could find but I've found nothing. I'm beginning to lose hope of ever having this cold case end in justice. I won't ever be able to show my face to Ayeka and Shigeo again if I fail.

I was already expecting him to be long gone as he always is, and for a bloody scene to greet me once I arrived, but what I was not expecting to find...was her.

Hitoshi smiled softly as he spoke. "Yeah the man was clearly smitten but back to the moment that changed everything..."

"I'm going to give the summary of the entire meeting. As with the rest of their story. To tell you everything would take the rest of the evening and likely all night to fully comprehend. And their story is not the only story to tell."

He took a breath and started the story.

"Blood painted the alleyway walls and despite being another crime boss the death that man was dealt was brutal. Suddenly Erasure heard it, the sound of a terrified breath being taken over near a wall with a donations bin outside. A pair of discarded boots were on the ground. He spun around and stared at the box with his red eyes blaring towards a visible shadow casted from the light overhead."

"What appeared was a traumatized woman in dirtied torn black clothes with a hoodie and scarf shielding everything but her red eyes. She was staring at the body with horror in her eyes. Erasure instantly realized this woman saw the entire murder. When he saw her outfit his eyes widened. He recognized her instantly as the petty thief with the ability to vanish in the blink of an eye. All anyone ever saw, if they were lucky, was her shadow since there's barely any shadows at night. Except for those created from artificial lighting."

"Because of her stealing at night she earned the nickname Nyx."

"Most people who were allegedly stolen from, or are "lucky enough" to see her shadow as she makes her escape,  think their hallucinating. Some influential wealthy people began to become paranoid over tales of her, and whined to some big-time hero agencies. And soon enough Erasure overheard they had even left some "incentives" for her immediate capture."

Hitoshi smirked. "Yeah, he wasn't to pleased to hear those rumors. To even hear that pro hero's were allowing those discussions to take place within their agencies was a disgrace to Erasure. Those weren't the discussions of heroism it was the discussions of bribery and profit. To that I can agree."

He sighed. "She was careless one day and released her quirk while another hero had been silently tailing her. The hero managed to take a picture of her before she vanished from view. Thankfully she was wearing all black, including a hoodie, and a scarf wrapped around the lower part of her face so, all anyone really saw from that picture was her intense red eyes. However that picture gained her some major publicity, as the police, heroes, and media now had a lead on "Nyx"."
