In the World of the Fairies, Tevin sleeps in an enchanted garden. The soothing sounds of crickets chirping and purple waterfalls showering water put all who enter it at ease. He lays in a bed of purple calla lilies. The lavender scent of the lovely flowers briefly takes his mind off the sharp pain as he sleeps in a trance. His body is bruised and sore from the fight with Thrasher Goblin.

An elder fairy named Selena nurses the wounds on his face by applying gold pixie dust on the cuts, instantly making them evaporate as he starts to heal.

She brushes off pixie dust residue from her long purple dress. "Tevin, you are lucky to be alive that Goblin could have killed you."

Sparkle rest next to Tevin her muscles are sore, and she can barely keep her eyes open as she goes in and out of sleep. "Um, um, I-I wasn't ready for a battle with a Goblin."

Queen Vanessa massages her daughter's thick cotton hair. "You are very inexperienced, but you fought well, Sparkle."

The fairy queen checks on Tevin, putting her powerful yet petite fingers on his head. "Tevin, you protected Serenity and impressed me with your fight."

Tevin slowly awakes from her touch. "Thank you, ma'am."

"You two must be better prepared next time because the Goblin will grow stronger as he matures into his body," Queen Vanessa mentions.

"How did Daniel turn into that?" Tevin asks.

"Gilbert III helped him," Queen Vanessa replies.

"Isn't he the one who imprisoned you in this world?" Tevin asks.

"Yes, and they will come for Serenity again. You must kill them both if you want to save her," Queen Vanessa commands.

"I'll do what it takes to save and protect the love of my life," Tevin declares.

"Um, um, mother, you should go with Tevin. You're better than me," Sparkle says.

Queen Vanessa shakes the gold particles off her daughter's evening gown. "Relax, you and Tevin have bonded. He is your human and only yours, my dear daughter."

"I-I'm scared that I will fail in defeating it," Sparkle cries.

"My dear precious Sparkle, you won't. After you two recover, I will take the both of you to the Cave of Nightmares to train," Queen Vanessa replies.

The queen unleashes loads of rainbow pixie dust into her daughter, increasing her pixie count in all areas of her body.

Tevin and Sparkle both fall asleep in the garden as their bodies continue to heal.

Richard and Susan are on the fourth floor in the computer lab of Fairville University's Library, researching the Myth of Fairy Rock. Richard turns the knob on the microfilm machine, it spins, and an array of old newspaper articles from the Fairyville Press come across the screen.

"Stop right here. What in the world? Five people in our city were reported missing, and nobody ever saw them again. All of them went missing after being seen going in the Fairville Woods," Susan says.

"Why hasn't this made National news?" Richard asks.

A short, thin, young, freckled face librarian strolls by them. "Whoa, is that an article about those missing people?"

Susan pulls out a half-smoked cigarette and puts it in her mouth. "Do you mind if we smoke in here?"

The librarian adjusts her bifocal glasses. "Go ahead! We're the only three here this late besides the janitor, who is in the corner sleeping. I'll clean up before anyone finds out."
