The downpour continues. The water from the flood rises above Serenity's waist. She puts the ailing Leon in the front pocket of her robe and draws her sword again.

Serenity cannot see anything in the murky weather. Everything's quiet except for the pitter-pattering noise of the torrential rain splashing on her. She's soaked, and her wet bushy hair sticks to her face.

"Serenity," a voice whispers.

Serenity raises her elbows high and nearly pops a vein in her hand from squeezing on the handle of her sword. "Tevin, is that you?"

Serenity's blade lights its shiny red light, showing the tall, elder fairy Selena next to her with what seems to be a plethora of demon ghosts in the background.

The utter horror Serenity's experiencing spasms the muscles in her cheeks, locking her jaws.

"Ugh, ha, ha, ha. You cannot hurt us with your weapon," Selena says.

The elder fairy kneels in the pink water. She smiles as the rain drips down her wrinkled, purple face. "I love the power they give me, and I want more of it."

Selena opens her mouth, and the demon ghosts race to get inside it. She gulps down as many of them as she can. Her aura expands. The elder fairy's skin tears and starts to shed. Her arms and legs fall off her, and she goes underwater.

Selena's bones crack as her skin turns into purple scales. Her body stretches fifty feet long as it transitions into a fifty-foot-long serpent and slithers through the water.

Serenity quickly tries to move out of the way and falls underwater. She dives back up, spits out the salty pink water, and draws her sword again.

She flashes her blade in every direction and finds the dead bodies of the others in the group floating in the river. She feels shortness of breath as she tries to process her seven friends, who were once full of life are now stiff as a board.

She hears the demon ghost hissing as they taunt her.

"Uh, ha, ha, ha," Selena laughs.

The giant serpent lurks to the top of the wet, muddy yellow rocks in the middle of the mountain near the oversized Baker.

The hairy fairy has her friends' blood on his armor. He picks up the remains of the bearded monster and uses gold pixie dust to heal the furry creature as it builds back together. It jumps onto his stubbly purple face, reattaching itself to him.

Serenity slows her breathing as she now feels empty. Her emotions are numb. She no longer cries or trembles from the fear of death. Everyone is dead but me. I've been a prisoner in the World of The Fairies for over three years. My life is over. My dreams of being a Jazz Musician are all gone. Dad, thank you for introducing me to Jazz. I forgive you for divorcing my mother. Mom, I love you and hope to reunite with you soon in the next life. Finally, Tevin, please be alive. I hope you make it home. It seems like death is the only way out of this place for me. I'm ready to be with God. See you soon, everyone.

The aura of the third enemy, Bernard, radiates. The enlarged tuxedo-wearing fairy waves his musical batons, and hundreds of glowing crows and bats emanate out of the atmosphere of the purple sky, assailing toward her.

Serenity points her powerful weapon at them. "Before I die, I promise I will kill one of you, fairies."

Suddenly, the rain stops, and the fog clears. The sky turns black, and Bernard loses control of the bats and crows as they scatter away.

Green, red, orange, violet, and blue fireworks fill the sky, making a booming noise. Everyone stops in their tracks.

A magical yellow portal opens, and Sparkle pops out of it in her giant form. She's seven feet tall and wears a rainbow-colored Renaissance dress as she carries Pastor Anderson on her back.

"Is that her?!" Serenity rejoices.

She breathes a sigh of relief.

The young fairy lands in the water next to her.

"Sparkle, is that you?" Serenity asks.

"Yes, it's been a long time, Serenity," Sparkle replies.

Pastor Anderson keeps his eyes as if he doesn't want to open them. He folds his hands and prays. "Almighty God, please give us the strength to stop these demons. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Selena crawls toward the young fairy. "Hiss, hiss, Sparkle, you are a traitor. How dare you show your face in this world?"

Sparkle unleashes her rainbow-colored aura around herself. The young fairy's magnificent power changes the sky's atmosphere to the color of a rainbow.

It's the most beautiful light Serenity has seen in years.

Sparkle waves her hand, and a long line of magic, rainbow-colored sand from the forest materializes into the shape of a teacup that is big enough to fit Serenity in it. It moves and scoops Serenity out of the water, bringing her toward Sparkle and Pastor Anderson.

"Serenity, you did a great job staying alive here for so long. I'm going to get you and the survivors home soon. You and Pastor Anderson can wait here in this cup while I finish this," Sparkle says.
