A fidgety Tevin tiptoes through the dark room toward the open door and enters Mayor Brunson's bedroom. He points the revolver in all directions and creeps around the spacious chamber, desperately trying not to make a sound. I hope that Queen Vanessa did not leave any fairies here. What if she has a goblin or an ogre keeping guard in this town?

Oh my gosh, a dragon could fly outside for all I know. What if the cops arrest me for trespassing?

The rays of the moonlight glisten in the unlighted room. As he paces forward, he bangs his shin on the brown Oxara nightstand and knocks over the expensive Tiffany Wisteria Lamp, shattering it onto the red, silk Isfahan Rug. He steps on the broken lamp pieces and hides under the king-size bed, praying that no one enters the room.

Tevin hunches his shoulders and hopes his heart doesn't thump out of his chest.

The wind blows tree branches against the window, causing a screeching noise as the sticks scratch the pane. Please don't let that be one of those fairies. Okay, Tevin, please relax. I must get to Fairy Rock to save everyone quickly.

Tevin flees out of the bedroom into the pitch-black, cold hallway, pointing his gun in every direction. He holds onto the smooth wooden guard rails, leaving his nasty footprints on the fluffy, white carpet while continuing his journey down the stairs and straight out the front door.

He jogs fifty yards through the high, uncut grass of the mansion's front yard and climbs the chain link fence onto Main Street. The city is a complete ghost town with no one in sight.

The streetlights are off, and there is massive rubble from the destroyed skyscrapers and businesses all down the block.

Tevin drops to his knees and buries his head on the tar-paved streets. I can't believe this. Look what those monsters did to Fairyville; it is all my fault. I will never forgive myself for making a deal with those stupid fairies. I'm the reason for this town's destruction. Who am I kidding? I can't save these people. I'm a selfish loser, a failure, and I don't deserve to live.

As tears stream down his face, he points the gun at his head. Tevin closes his eyes and pulls the hammer down on the revolver. He loudly grunts as he gets ready to pull the trigger.

The ground starts shaking rapidly, causing him to lose his balance. He falls backward and lands on his back, dropping the gun out of his hand.

Tevin looks up, seeing bricks fall from the rock pile, and rolls out of the way as the rocks bury the gun and splash, building particles in the air. In an instant, the earthquake stops, and he lies in the rubble, covered in gray, combustible dust.

He spits the disgusting stuff out of his mouth and tries to wipe it off his face. He sits down for a few minutes, processing what just happened. I have never heard of Fairyville ever having an Earthquake. Was this an act of the Lord? This means God; I mean God kept me alive. I do have a purpose. God does love me.

"Almighty, Father, thank you for saving my life. I'm sorry for testing you, and I'll never point a gun at my head again. Suicide is not the way. I surrender my life to you; please give me the strength to save everyone in Fairyville. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Tevin gets back up, grinds his teeth, sticks his chest out, and runs full speed through the town with a stronger feeling of confidence, thinking about all the fantastic people who have helped him. He looks at the stones, the broken glass, and the dry bloodstains and smells the odor of misery in the streets, motivating him to sprint faster. "I'm coming, everyone. I'm coming. Aargh!"

Tevin arrives at The Fairyville Woods, sweating and out of breath. There is yellow police tape over all the entrances. He goes under it and trudges through the tall ragweeds, passing the oak trees. He claps his hands at a raccoon, scaring it away into the evergreen shrubs.

The exhausted hero pulls forward through the pasture, stepping on the damp dandelions as he makes his way up the grassy hill toward the mountains. Come on; I know that I can make it up. It won't be long until I reach Fairy Rock. I can't believe how dirty I am, and I stink. Nothing will stop me from helping my people, family, friends, and Serenity.

Tevin reaches the top where Fairy Rock resides. Tevin climbs on the unique, colossal, muddy bolder and observes the city. The view up here is so different from how I left it. It used to be beautiful, but now there are no lights in the building or cars driving. Looking at this town with no kids flying their kites is hard. I can see Fairyville Amusement, and no one rides the roller coasters. My gosh, Mitch's MMA gym looks so empty and dead.

Somewhere in the area, a wolf is howling, but Tevin pays it no mind. The bluish Halfmoon light and all the stars aligning with it keeps his attention. For this may be his last image of Fairyville. "Almighty God, please keep all the people trapped in the fairy world alive and protect them. You are my shepherd and my savior. Please give me the strength to make this leap one last time. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Tevin jumps off Fairy Rock and enters The World of The Fairies.
