Rock and Sparkle continue sightseeing at some of the town's marvelous attractions in downtown Fairyville. They turn down David Avenue and walk on the green brick sidewalks, watching teenagers pick fruit out of the cherry trees by the benches and throw them at each other.
They stop by the great bronze statue of King Thomas, and Sparkle peeks her head out of Rock's pocket. "F-Fairyville is beautiful!"
Rock shakes his head and smiles, showing his straight white teeth. "I know!"
"Y-you were unbelievable today!"
"Tell me about it! It feels so good to put that jerk in his place."
"W-w-what about Serenity?"
"We'll worry about her later. I want to show you another cool place."
**
They visit Fairyville Coast, the only amusement park in the city. Sparkle's jaw drops as she witnesses people screaming as they go up and down the monstrous roller coasters. The tallest roller coaster is Mega Death, the fastest ride and stands seven hundred feet tall. The line for the towering ride is so long that it starts from the souvenir shop and covers a quarter-mile radius.
Rock stops by a concession stand to buy some Elephant ears, Tevin's favorite food.
After stuffing his mouth full of the sweet bread, he skips to the front of the line, taking cuts in front of everyone.
"Um, um, some of the people look mad," Sparkle says.
Rock shrugs his burly shoulders, popping the bones in his neck. "They'll get over it."
He places himself in the first black leather seat and fastens his seatbelt. A slightly chunky man with a fuzzy black beard immediately sits next to him.
He covers his mouth, trying to control his wheezing cough. "Why hello, good sir! My name is Mitch Davis."
"What's up, man?"
Mitch secures his seatbelt across his white suit and beer belly. "Now, I saw your fight with that boy at the mall. You got unbelievable skills."
"Are you a cop or something?"
"Ha, ha, ha, no! I'm a fight promoter. How would you like to train at my MMA gym?"
"Why?"
Mitch coughs and sneezes again. "With your skills, you can become a multimillionaire in this here sport."
"You mean to tell me that I can be a millionaire? Well, I know I can, but really?" Rock chuckles.
"Take my card and come to this gym address at eight in the morning, and we'll have you ready to fight in a month."
Rock only touches the card with two fingers, protecting himself from Mitch's nasty germs.
All passengers are in their seats, and the Mega Death Roller Coaster rolls up seven hundred feet in the air.
Swoosh! It races down at speeds of 150 miles per hour.
Everyone on the roller coaster shouts at the top of their lungs except for Rock and Sparkle. Rock laughs the whole way down.
Sparkle waves her hands in the air from Rock's pocket. "Fun!"
"This is only the beginning of the fun we're going to have, fairy."
The roller coaster stops, and everyone gets off.
Rock and Sparkle leave the amusement park. "I'm ready to go home and see my parents."
Sparkle shakes her head. "Um, um, no, you can never see your parents in this form. They will never believe you."
Rock stops and puts his hands on his head. She's right! Plus, I don't want anyone to know I'm Tevin yet. Let me get Serenity first. Then I'll return to them as Tevin."
Rockand Sparkle return to the World of The Fairies for the night.
