Tevin sits in a Sycamore tree in the West Forrest he managed to climb. He disguises himself in the leaves, contemplating his next move. I'm surprised the fairies didn't greet me when I entered the fairy world. I don't know how long I've been here. I'm so scared because I haven't seen anyone and forgot my anxiety medication. I must be a brave hero and save everyone. I must climb down and find Serenity, my parents, Richard, and the others.
He looks down the tree and sees nothing but thick fog and darkness. He remembers that the night sky is black, with only one orange star shining brightly.
Tevin hears the howls of dark wolves and the growls of ogres, scaring the crows and bats as they fly out of the trees. He grabs his cup of holy water from his bookbag and removes the plastic top.
The rugged, thudding footsteps of the ogres rattle the trees and knock the black and gray apples out of them. The dark wolves are barking and getting closer to him. Oh, dear, they must have found me. I hope this canister full of holy water works. Father in Heaven, please keep me alive. I want to save the people of Fairyville. Please let me see Serenity again. I love her, and I miss her so much. In Jesus' name, Amen.
The dark wolves emerge out of the fog and surround the tree where Tevin resides. Twenty giant ogres leap out of the mist, led by an ogre with white clown makeup on his face and red paint, cornering his mouth. Clown Ogre beats on his chest and roars, commanding his subordinates to shake the tree.
The gray-skinned monsters punch, kick, push, pull, and knock the tree off its roots, bending it sideways. One of the ogres rapidly climbs up the tree.
Tevin clinches his arms and legs around a thick branch on the tree, and he barely holds on to the holy water as the leaves and apples continue to fall out of it.
Tevin splashes holy water in the monster's face.
The demonic beast's forehead sets on fire, and black smoke emerges from its jaws. The burning ogre runs away toward the river.
"It works," Tevin says.
The ogres push and pound on the tree again, tipping it over. As it's falling, Tevin pours the blessed water over his afro and black leather coat, soaking it as he grips the branch tightly.
The oak tree lands straight into a black mud patch, leaving a crack in the ground as dirt flings up high. Tevin rubs his injured elbow and exits the tree.
The grizzly bear-sized dark wolves shake the mud out of their thick black fur and violently bark at Tevin. The filthy dark wolves and ogres charge at him, and he curls into a ball.
The evil creatures stop as they smell the holy water on him and step back.
Tevin opens his eyes. I'm not dead. They must be afraid of the water that I have on me. I better get out of here before it dries up.
He recoils from observing Clown Ogre beating his gray-skinned chest, commanding the monsters to attack him. I will have to run through them before the holy water dries. Heavenly Father, Please don't let me die. I beg of you; please help me. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
He sprints through the pack of ogres and dark wolves as they jump out of his way. Tevin scurries through the gray fog and runs face-first into the tall black tumbleweeds and thorn bushes.
"Aargh!" The thorns cut his face and tear his leather jacket.
The rain begins to fall heavily from the sky, flooding the ground.
Oh no, the rain will wash the holy water off me.
Tevin hears the dark wolves barking and sees their beaming eyes through the fog. On the side of him, the ogres grunt while they chase him. He trips on a stone, stumbles, and falls into a pink swamp.
The ogres dive into the water and restrain him.
Tevin kicks and squirms as they drag him through the foggy wetland and take him to Clown Ogre.
"Please let me go. Pretty please," Tevin begs.
Clown Ogre punches Tevin in the stomach, and he watches him squeal as he keels over in the marsh grass.
Tevin moans, sobs, and curls into a fetal position as the dark wolves bark and growl at him—clown Ogre grunts, commanding his troops to drag Tevin to Queen Vanessa's Castle.
Tevin pulls and tugs to break free from the orges' grip.
"Aargh!" he screams.
Tevin's voice becomes hoarse, and he feels nausea in his stomach.
In a trice, blue pixie dust arises out of Tevin.
The ogres drop him as they try to brush the magic powder out of their faces. The blue pixie dust causes an explosion, knocking the ogres and dark wolves ten feet backward.
As the blue smoke clears, Tevin transforms into Rock.
