Chapter 9

Ch 8 – Silver Moon Pack

It has been a year since Anna went to another pack to train. Xavier returned earlier than expected with a mate in tow. A beautiful girl named Juliet. He marked her about 10 months before. The reason he returned early was that rogues were becoming an issue to a lot of packs. Alpha Zander, Xavier’s dad, was hurt in the last attack.

Xavier seems more mature, he definitely isn’t as carefree as before nor does he appear happy which is strange for someone having found their soul mate. Juliet was sweet and friendly with everyone and seemed a capable Luna unfortunately not everyone was charmed by her. Xavier’s parents as well as his best friend and Beta, Vincent,  Vincent's parents, a few kids and the head pack doctor were cold towards Juliet. 

When Xavier returned to the pack he looked for Anna everywhere but neither saw her or smelt her. It was the first time he felt true fear. He was now aware that Anna would know if he marked or mated with another and he was sure Anna felt the pain of his betrayal. He did not want to ask obvious questions to arouse any suspicion but he needed to find Anna.

He eventually found out from Anna’s stepmother, who is one of Juliet’s supporters, that Anna is training at the Red Moon Pack. Zed gave Xavier no peace whatsoever, he wanted his true mate and there will be no mate but Anna. Xavier knew that he could mate with no other because Zed won’t allow it. Juliet was almost killed when she tried to get Xavier to mate with her, Zed took full control and nearly ripped her throat out.

Juliet is the daughter of Alpha Derrick Trainor, She is 20 years and an Alpha in training same as Xavier. She lost her mate to rogues 2 years ago and when she saw Xavier she insisted he was her second chance mate and because the Royals owed her father a favor he was forced to accept her and mark her as his mate. Zed insisted that she was lying about they being her second chance mate because he felt absolutely nothing but hate and disgust for her and Juliet’s wolf, Laura, won’t communicate with him or Juliet.

Xavier had stopped talking to Anna knowing that she will not want to hear from him and if Juliet found out about Anna she may try to harm her.  He had one true friend he had made at the academy and his name Damien Lucas Romanov, one of the trainers; he was the one that advised Xavier to mark Juliet as ordered but never to mate her.

Xavier had not expected Anna to leave. He felt hurt and angry and lost. So he was ecstatic to find out that the Red Moon Pack was visiting to discuss a treaty to handle the rogue situation. There was a total of eight members from the Red Moon plus the Alpha and Anna which arrive a few hours before dinner time in two SUVs. They would stay at the Alpha’s home instead of the pack house because the Moonlight Pack was also visiting to help train their warriors and they had brought about forty members who were staying in the pack house.
