I woke up on the couch, still wrapped in Colby's arms. I slowly sat up when I realized he was burning up. "Colby." I whispered, making him stir awake. "Hm?" He hummed, barely awake. "How are you feeling?" "Still feel like shit, why?" I rested my hand against his head,"Colby, you're burning up." " I know, I can feel it. I'm super tired." I got up and went into the kitchen and grabbed Colby a water bottle, then gave it to him. "Do you have any medicine?" "No, I don't." I sighed. "I'll be fine, Jade it's not that big of a deal." "Colby, yes it is, you're sick." He rolled his eyes," Jade, it's probably just a cold, I'm fine. Come here." He said motioning for me to sit down, so I did. "Are you sure you're okay?" He sat up and leaned towards me, his arms propped up on his legs," Jade, I'm fine okay? It's no big deal." "Fine." I answered, lacing our fingers together and laying my head on his shoulder. His eyes lingered on our hands for a couple of seconds before closing his eyes. "Are you sure-?" "Jade." He said, his eyes opening," I'm fine, stop worrying about it." "Okay." I said, watching him take a sip of his water, he set it down and quickly kissed me before leaning back to his original position. I reached for my phone and scrolled through Instagram and replying to a couple dms, all while feeling someone's eyes on me. I looked up and locked eyes on Colby's electric blue ones. "What?" I asked, setting down my phone. "Nothing," he said looking away. "No, tell me. Why were you staring at me?" His face heated up as he looked back at me," No, it's nothing." "Colbyyy." I whined," Tell me!" "Nooo," He whined back, mocking me. "Then I'll make you." I said sitting up and straddling him, raising my brows in the process. "And how are you gonna do that, love?" He asked, a smirk on his face. "Don't call me that." I answered. "Shit." He stuttered," Sorry I forgot I-" I leaned forward capturing his lips with mine, lingering for a moment, then slowly pulling away. "It's fine, just don't do it again." He nodded, biting his lip and looking down at mine. He kissed me slowly, each f us exploring the others mouth, groaning he tightened his grip on my waist, as he pulled his mouth from mine. Colby rested his forehead against my own, holding my gaze. "God, I wish I didn't feel like this. I want you so bad right now." "Oh really?" I said, smirking, I started grinding my hips a bit. He closed his eyes, biting his lip again. "What are you doing?" He asked, his eyes still closed. "Nothing," I answered, picking up my pace, making him groan," Jade, stop." He growled, grabbing my hips," Fuck." Sorry." I said laughing, kissing him again and giggling. He grabbed my jaw and pulled my face towards him, reconnecting our lips. My breathing turned heavier as we fought for dominance, gripping each other's clothes and only taking short breaks when we needed to breathe. Fuck, there was something different about this, I have no idea what it is though. Colby pulled away and rested his face in the crook of my neck, holding me close.
